I like the idea of "taking stock" of Watchtower doctrines as opposed to investing in them.
They're bankrupt of ideas but the crash of 1975 didn't wipe them out because the rank and file held on to the worthless paper.
All those "rainbow" colored books Franz and Rutherford cranked out sit on so many bookshelves and with about as much useful teaching as you'd find on the Magic 8 ball.

They were just contrived bullshit expressed under a guise of religious virtue, Gospel Preaching and truthful bible interpretation, the reality was something quite the opposite.
A causative result of freedom of religious expression, combined with freedom of publishing made the WTS/JWS and sustained itself over the years.
Today we would call it fear mongering charlatanism.
The WTS has been a false religious publishing house from its very beginning in the late 1800's, it just had to exploit and manipulate the bible accordingly to attract the naive and gullible weak..
