Was your congregation clean all those years? ....

Your congregation is 'clean' .... but so what? What spiritual value does being clean have?

    Two very good questions.

"Clean" before man, or "clean" before God? If we only satisfy man, we are blind pharisees.

    Is the organization really "clean"?

To reference a buzzword that was often used in JW-ism when quoting the New World Translation and describing other religions, if you consider a "white-washed grave" to be clean, then the Jehovah's Witness organization is clean.

The Watchtower is concerned about appearances. Is it of the utmost importance that the Jehovah's Witness organization appear clean and respectable to the outside world. This is essential for converting new members, and also serves as an excellent source for good public relations. But is it truly clean? Can you consider an organization clean that has the blood of countless men, women, and children on it's hands due to a vacillating blood doctrine, changing belief on organ transplants, discouragement of pursuit of higher education to improve one's quality of life, the dividing of families, or those driven to suicide from depression or a sense of worthlessness because of losing family or not measuring up? How about the children who have been molested and the Watchtower cult covering it up to protect the image of the cat litter pan liner magazine publishing company?

Sure. The Jehovah's Witness organization is clean.

Great post, Hushai, and welcome to the forum!

Definitely not a clean organization - because while the "wrongdoers" are busy doing their "wrongs", they are welcomed by the congregation, and folks associate with them, till they're found out. Then what happens? Once they have cleaned up their lives again, and are humble and repentant and would actually be better association, this is when they shun them for a year, and limit them for a year after they return.

    The leadership are such morons.

No different than any other religion/large group. Any mass of people will eventually yield a child molester, a thief, or anything else a person can think of. I guess what makes the JWs so fun to pick on, is they seem to think they are immune from the human society's ills. I love watching a right thinking JW spinning when it is pointed out to them their religion yields as much coruption as any other worldy orginazation out there.
