It's an inevitability here in the U.S.
Even Trump, a self-proclaimed teetotaler (I doubt he is), has publically stated that he would support a bill for the decriminalization of Marijuana.

I have a child in my home that takes CBD to help with lung issues connected to a bigger over all problem. As far as the JWs I heard of one brother that was able to use it and then switched to another congregation as was dfd for using it.

The same people who object to medical marijuana will be perfectly OK with people taking far more potent and addictive / mind altering substances as long as some big pharmaceutical company is making huge profits on them.
