I wasn't gonna reply to this one, because it's not my interest....then I thought....my daughter met her present hubby online from a dating or personals service....they're pretty content with each other....I think it helped that they're both avid church goers....

Yes, I tried one several times.
I did get to chat with some really nice women.
A lot were somewhat younger than I was but in general, they seemed like very interesting people.
You have to find a company that screens the applicants very carefully.
It does seem like many people have been through a lot in their lives. Some of the women were very open about their past experiences and were totally open to discuss any topic in great detail. It was very refreshing.
One even got her best friend on the phone and really went into detail about some very personal experiences that they enjoyed together. I must say, it was, like... wow .. I was so happy that I had found a place to meet people that I could talk about anything at anytime. And they never complained when I called.
On-line dating was great but I must admit, like others have noted here, it can get a bit expensive. Although we never did meet in person, we did talk alot. If I recall, it was like $2.95 a minute or something so the cost did quickly add up. But I will tell you, she was always willing to chat and discuss whatever was on my mind. If she was not there when I called, it seemed like one of her college friends was always there to chat anyway. It was a great arrangement.
