What did you do with all your WT literature?

George Santayana, a notable philosopher, coined the phrase, "Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it."

I have the WTS pubs not on the WT-2001 CD stored in boxes in my basement. Older pubs like the Studies in the Scriptures I have in my religious history section of my personal library along with the Works of Josephus, Thomas Aquinas, etc.

I like to hang them with their own words, so I keep their words around. I suffer from oldtimer's disease.

Record some Iron Maiden onto them and drop them off at your local Thrift store. Some thrifty JW will be sure to find them.

LMAO!!! Or, we could record some of YOUR music on them, and they would NEVER know they were listening to "Apostate" music!!! LOL! I have some of those too..............hmmmm, time to get rid of them too!

Most of my books are still at home at my parents but I do have a small collection at my present house now. I'm debating what I should do with the stuff. On one hand I want to take the books out into a field and rip them to pieces and then burn them like they did in Office Space to the printer. However, perhaps I should keep them to serve as a reminder of just how twisted and wrong the information that the society feeds to its' members. If any dub says no I'm wrong about a certain subject, I can show them the proof right from their own publications. How's that for the light getting brighter. However, I don't want my child to find these books someday when he's 10 and wrongly misread them. My child should be free to read what he wants but I think a matter of discretion is needed when your child is younger.

So, the jury is still out. Maybe they will be worth some money some day like original copies of Hitler's Mien Compf. Then again, do I really want to be thinking about the same stuff 10 years from now. Alas, will I ever break free. It may be time to clean house. Perhaps if my parents still see that I have WT books at my house, they make think that there is still a hope for me, not!!!!

Funny you should mention that...I was at the discount store, Savers last week and saw The Greatest Man book on the shelf. I sent my books to a few people on this chat board, and was gleeful ripping up my Live Forever book, but kept my NWT Bible.

I "accidentally" left all of my literature in the shower for a few weeks.

We inherited a ton of moldy old (really, really old) Watchtowers from an older man who has since passed from this world. They are sitting out in our shed. Maybe the mice are using them for bedding material. Also had tons of old books, newer books; there was no end to the making of books. They also are out in our shed. Just threw out all our magazines. Kept concordance and a few copies of NWT for research and indexes. It all gives me the creeps anyway. arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! We were going to try to burn them but I heard that anything "demonized" wouldn't burn. So we passed on that.

So many books. So little time.
