Do you catch yourself still thinking Witness thoughts?

I rarely think JW Thoughts but once in a while, one of their songs pop into my mind.

Just this afternoon while driving, I started humming "Out of The Mouths of Babes, God Once Brought Praise"

Then I thought to myself, God still brings Praise From the Mouths of Babes.

Not too much. I was not indoctrinated from birth, so in that respect I think I have an advantage over people who were raised in it. Nowadays I occasionally feel an urge to attend Mass, as I was raised Catholic. Like last night on the news there was a story about the Catholic Church's internal investigation and report regarding the molestation issue. Included in the story (I guess to establish atmosphere) was footage of a Mass at a large old church with lots of stained glass, high cathedral ceiling, etc. and it struck an emotional chord with me.

I don't think as a witness at all. Any moral thoughts, etc are because of who I am, not what I was taught as a witness.

Yes, because such thoughts and phrases were part of my thinking, like a second language, for such a long time - the majority of my life. Little quotes and expressions from the Wt and NWT keep appearing in my conversation. If I say it on the board perhaps it passes as irony.

When in the company of dubs it is easy to slip into Wt mode. It may start with reminiscing about things we did or people we knew and can easily go on to expressions of "The faith" . Then I kick myself for saying it , but the cliches keep coming back
