Has Satan ever gotten your attention?

Satan is the one who is supposed to be misleading everyone right? Its Satan and his demons, versus Jehovah and his angels (and earthly followers). You mention what the bible says about Satan - I was actually talking about the general beliefs of Christians. I can't count the number of Christians who say things about being careful the devil doesn't influence you and "don't let Satan into your home" etc. etc.
My beleif is that there is no real "evil", just that certain beings operate on a "lower" level and can be harmful to us.
So what's wrong with labelling that "Satan"? Or are there other considerations regarding word-triggers, at stake here?
Calling a collective group of entities, some harmful and some not as harmful, "Satan" just doesn't make sense. You can't get away from the fact that Christians call the One Slanderer "Satan" - the same guy or gal who transformed into the snake in eden.
Another thing, why would I use a biblical term to describe part of my belief system? Those who don't believe the bible will rarely (if ever) call an evil entity "Satan".
Also, I don't know how you got onto Satan's gender. Its interesting that you sensed a femininity. I would suggest that spirit beings do not have actual gender but can have certain qualities commonly associated with a gender. The Goddess is feminine, but obviously not a woman with a woman's body. I guess that is how it would be with other non physical beings.

That's not been my experience, and I frequent Christian cirlces of various denominations.
"He"'s not spoken of all that much, although bad things are often attributed to him.
I've never heard the "don't let him into your home" line, as he's allegedly an incorporeal beingAll I'm really saying is that "evil-feeling spirits" are likely those that are labelled "demons" by Christians.
As for it specifically being "Satan" himself - that's another matter entirely.
It's just symantics. -

LT, I especially loved the cross! Think about this...............the cross has been worn by Christians for years as a symbol of their love for Jesus' sacrifice and a reminder of his suffering............Satan could wear it as a medallion of his accomplishment! LOL! And, sorry if I offend anyone here on the board who is a Christian.

Ya mean that you think Satan killed him, or do you have something else in mind?
Besides, variations of that symbol have been used throughout history.

My own experiences were pretty horrific, and included physiological manifestations.
Yep, drunk as a skunk!

Things that make you go "Hmmmm"Actually, I don't even believe in Satan.........I'm a pagan, to explain my belief system simply. Don't Christians believe that Satan had a hand in his death? And, I know the cross has been used by many other groups besides the Christians. I do believe that Jesus was a Teacher tho, an actual person, just like the Buddha and Gandhi and Mohammed and the Dali Llama.............
