...they inhabit different quaters of my brain entirely...

I think LT meant that as a joke Xena.

Maybe he was using humor to defuse the situation so his fellow scots would feel a bit more welcome here?

lol but I guess we won't know for a few hours will we?

Nobody else has heard anything about it.

I remember hearing something about this last summer, but I can't remember if it was in the last talk of the district assembly, or during the CO's visit, I think it was at the assembly.

    Test for a true Scotsman:

    70/- and 80/-.

    Define the meaning.

Both too heavy for me, I'm a Stella kinda guy.

This sort of tittle tattle on the board puts me right off using it. As I've already said to Minimus, these flippant accusations turn it in to Salem. Here in Scotland accusations of witchcraft were proven false when the person drowned.

Eman:80/- doesn't taste all that much better.
    70/- is cheaper... (!!!)

I was joking about the brain thing, but not regarding my vouching for him.

LT, who's getting MIGHTILY pissed at all the deleting of threads and posters around here - things that should make ya thunk!!!

    No one is being deleted.

As far as I am concerned this was started by a DUMB comment by minimus.

If people are trolls then they will be found out but there is nothing that I can see to suggest that IT Guy and scotsman are the same person or that either of them is Caspian.

I HOPE THIS IS THE END OF THE MATTER

Sorry Ross, but if posts and posters don't follow the guidelines we reserve the right to delete them. However, there have not been a great many deleted by any measure.

    Hi IT

got a little bit of contact still down here in the SE so will try and find out if the "soft southerners" have a similar CO agenda.

BTW visited your part of our Isle last year and thought is was brilliant. Hope to do it again soon.

As ya know, I don't take any issue with the forum rules, nor with your absolute right to act as you wish with the board.

In fairness, it's not the quantity, it's the timing.
Someone or something gets deleted, or a thread gets locked, right at the height of something getting sorted. It comes across as strongarm even though I'm sure that's not the intention.
How often could things have been sorted with just a few words, rather than that?

I don't understand (maybe it's just me being thick) why a poster couldn't just have their posting limit reduced to zero, whilst things get sorted out. At least that way you can still PM them and work out what they were "really" saying, rather than cut them off entirely.
Are the ones who have recently been deleted really so malevolant that they are likely to spam people's PM boxes and be nasty in Chat???

Maybe it's just been a hard few weeks, personally, but I'm recently starting to feel particularly frustrated, and that feeling increases upon each incident....

Sorry to vent - I'm certainly not trying to arouse a discussion on the topic I don't often spill a gut, but this one is starting to affect me deeply, hence I felt I had to at least report it.
(and none of my comments are intended to be taken personally by anyone, least of all the mods or you, Simon).

    Cheers,
    Ross.
