    RR, old friend,

You haven't made a comment about this topic:

THIS is the Mystery Doctrine, unadorned, as it really was.

Were mere humans given such powers, or is it all crap, RR?

What is "The Christ", then, given Russell's words about it? Do you disagree with what he said? If so, why?

    What say ye, RR?

BlueBlades, This issue has been a subject of confusion since the days of Russell.

The mystery doctrine, is simple. THE CHRIST, is Jesus as head, and the Church, 144,000 as his body, together they mediate between God and mankind. This has nothing to do with the ransom, as Russell stated, Jesus paid the ransom, the Church adds nothing to it.

I believe it is simple symantics, some people look at certain terms Russell uses and define it different.

Christ simply means anointed ones, all believers in Christ who have ben anointed by holy spierit are "anointed ones" or "Christ." Some people find it insulting to apply "Christ" to the believer, but Christ is not Jesus' last name, it's a title, a description, Jesus the anointed one. If Joe Schmoe was given the holy spirit, he would be Joe Schmoe the anointed one or Joe Schmoe Christ.

RR,I'm convinced that the bottom line is that the Governing Body of JW's.don't know any more than anyone else on what is true doctrine of any kind. It's all a leap of faith. As far as I'm concerned, this subject is closed.
