JWs Enjoy Looking Down On Others. It Makes Them Feel Good About Themselves!

  I dont the majority of JW's actually enjoy looking down on other people. I think that they've been indoctrinated into believing that they are the only ones that have a special relationship with god and the rest of the world is doomed. They think they know the secret to everlasting life. That in itself causes a self-righteous attitude and the feeling that they really feel sorry for those that dont have the troof or that turn their back on the organization God.

  I agree that most J Dubs do. However, I would say that most J Dubs feel like they are better than most 'worldly' people (hell, many J Dubs w/ titles feel like they are better than J Dubs with no title).

  I view J Dubs the same way I view the KKK or racist people - Arrogant, prejudice, and extremely judgmental.

  Racist people will always feel better than someone out side of their race. They may go as far as acknowledging an 'outsider's' achievements but they will never give them the proper credit or view them as equal. If a daughter of a racist parent marries an 'outsider', who may be the president of a company, or even the president of the U.S., the parents and family will feel that the daughter could have done better. They may say "yeah, he/she did 'this and that' but too bad he/she is an 'outsider". Or "what a shame he/she wasn't born like us."

  J Dubs are the same - No matter what a 'worldly person' accomplishes it's never good enough b/c they don't serve the Borg. They may say, "yeah, he/she did 'this and that' but too bad he/she is going to be destroyed at Armageddon." I think going around with this narrow sighted view of the world is conducive to making a person feel superior than others, which naturally make them feel good about themselves.

In some "Christian" lands, vicious ethnic wars are carried on even between members of the same religion.

  Last year Jehovah?s Witnesses spent more than a billion hours telling their neighbors about Jehovah God and Jesus Christ. Hundreds of thousands responded. Should we, though, be surprised that many others failed to respond? No. Paul spoke of "the insensibility of their hearts." Some have unresponsive hearts because of selfishness or love of money.
