Turning in a FORMER friend

Minimus asked if we had ever turned in someone to the elders. Sassy posted that now that she is 'out' she would not mind turning some people in. Its so unloving to keep their sins hidden, they need reproof. Sassy and I know some dirt on people and these people are judgmental, hypocritical and all the while keeping their own mis-deeds hidden in a closet. But me and Sassy and you other dratted Apostates, well, we're just evil.

Like Sassy said, we can't do it here naming names and such. But wouldn't it be fun to enumerate some of their dalliances to their elder body?

How would you do it? Would you do it?

We could post the sins for the lurkers to read, not name the name and DON'T name the congregation

eg.......self-described web-mistress, is married to a prisoner but went out with younger brother (half her age?) ---- guilty of fornication.....

    Sally, dangerous territory, but tempting.

BTW, you and I could probably turn in some of the same people. We should talk....

So would you write a letter to their elders? Would you call them? If I was a fader, I would just write a letter. As a df'd person, I'd probably still just write the letter but I would give them my return address cuz I don't care if they find me, they just won't get me back to the hall again.

No I wouldn't....let everyone go to the devil their own way, I feel no need to destroy other peoples lives.

I think its safe to say we all did things in the JWs we weren't proud of, and the occasional thing we were.

I don't know if I would post them publicy, but I think it can be interesting to write a personal note to ones you know about. Telling them what you know and remain anonymous

Sounds like bad kharma to me.

As Maude (Bea Arthur) would have said, "God will get them for that."

I wouldn't bother, imo then they would be in control by virtue of my wasting time and energy on people who could care less about me.

I wouldn't do it, be the better person.

I don't see the point of being all bitter and twisted any more - we are out of their stupid little club and yes most of us have lost family and friends to it, but hey, they are in the club and we aren't any more. Screw them and get on with life. I could write a letter to the body of elders in my father's cong and tell them how he is a fornicating bully who liked to beat the shit out of his kids with metal bars but I will content myself with just having a happy life.

What's the point? Ok, there is a small dot of satisfaction when you cause that person pain by uncovering their hypocrasy but you would be feeeding the hypocrasy of the GB giving them ammunition to treat more people like crap.

edited to add: It's actually more satisfying knowing that they are still in the club leading miserable unfulfilled lives. That should be vengeance enough.

I wouldn't ruin my own karma for that. They are in my past, let them sin and go to hell in their own time.
