I don't know if this thread has been covered before; do you have a favorite song or piece of music or performer? I know the question seems juvenile. But, I'm curious.

Mine, I think, is a tie between Wladyslaw Szpilman's performance of Chopin's Nocturne in C-sharp minor and Angela Hewitt's version of Bach's Goldberg Variations -- the Aria is divine!

I don't mean for this thread to be just about baroque or classical music, anything. For instance no. 3 for me would probaby be Blind Melon's Mouthful of Cavities.

So what are some of your favorites?

    Hey Morph

My favorite classical piece is by Mozart - I can't tell you the name, cause I taped it along with a bunch of other Mozart I borrowed from the library.

It is a piano piece, I think # 37 is part of the name ...

For sad times, it's gotta be Billy Holiday, Everything Happens to Me and Sophisticated Lady.

For fun, I'll take Def Leppard double CD, a greatest hits collection.

And I LOVE The Pogues, London Lullaby in particular, and

    Henry Rollins Band, Liar

ANYTHING by Johnny Cash, but specially the Folsum Prison Blues Album

and, of course, Elvis is the KING (closely followed by John Lennon RIP we luv ya johnny)

'Scotland the Brave' and 'Amazing Grace' in bagpipes of course. To hear either a lone bagpiper or a full complement of pipers play those tunes will sometimes cause me to well-up, unless I'm distracted by a beautiful woman, good conversation, or both.
