    I've heard 777 or 7777 used as a godly number in Christian televangelist hotline numbers, 777music.com is a Christian music online store, and the number is supposed to represent an ideally perfect number representing God and his creation. But it strikes me as a pallid ripoff of 666, and nothing in the Bible seems to produce a higher order number above 70 (7 x 10) with 7. 144,000 is of course based on 12 and 10. And contrary to it being such a godly number, it seems to have been the subject to a book on gematria and the kabbalah by Satan incarnate himself, Aleister Crowley. I must say also that in contrast to such a boring number, 666 is almost the most pleasant-sounding thing in the French language (seece sahn swasant seece, it just trips off the tongue) Hmmmm. Well, anyway, in honor of a silly number that means nothing whatsoever, I hereby announce that this thread is brought to you by the prime numbers 7 and 111, and the letters B and S. So...what's your favorite? 666 or 777?

    I don't know about the number, but I used to like Sesame Street, especially Big Bird

    For some reason I like the number 23, but my own number is 9, Numerologically speaking.

    777 has a qaballistic meaning, and is used as a title of sorts in some meditation ritual "Liber 777".

    Some further Rosicrucian meanings ;

    7 is considered a holy number. I assume you would agree. 3 has a way of showing completion in the bible. Like something 3 times. peter denied jesus 3 times, holy holy holy is the Lord, Father(1) Son(2) Holy Spirit(3), Jesus rose on the 3rd day,....etc

    6 is just short of the holy 7. In six days god made the world and on the seventh he rested. Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. By removing the sabbath day number the 6 becomes and unholy number. 6 Therefore can be said to represent toil, ambition, restlessness. It is expressed in its completeness by 666. 666 therefore is a very unholy number symbolically. Its putting emphasis on "coming up short" and ignores the fullness in 7. 666 is not so much counter expressive to 777 but a blasphemous assault on 7.

    edit(forgot the point)

    666 is a counter to 7. So 777 in turn is a counter to 666. Yes. Youve got it. It is a bit up a "one up" on the devil.

    Big Bird has a rather large toe, if I recall correctly. Not sure if he trims his toenails either.

    Except the Devil one-uped God with Aleister Crowley adopting 777.
