    First,

How has ANYTHING you've said shown Bush wrong in his actions? My comment about being here protecting someone's ass is because I serve in the military...and most of us here in the military know that the threats that are out there must be addressed...it had nothing to do with how right or wrong Bush is. So, how is it you're out there protecting me...been to any good pro-terrorist (aka "peace") rallies lately?

I love how you think you know me.

Really, I never would have guessed that what with the cute little picture of you glaring in your BDUs in front of the flag.

and most of us here in the military know that the threats that are out there must be addressed...

And the threats that don't and didn't exist also need to be addressed which is what we were doing.

it had nothing to do with how right or wrong Bush is.

Im the one that pointed that out, Mr. Superiority Complex.

Feel better now that you have that out of your system?

    And it's not a complex, I AM superior! That's why I'm a SUPREME ONE!

"It cracks me up what some here try to do, day after day, post after post; these unwarranted attacks on this great President.

    The antidote? TRUTH"

Yeah, that can be taken VERY SERIOUSLY. Someone posts a highly misleading photo of the president, who obiously is such an idiot he cannot even take the lenscaps off. Too bad Clinton had the same type of photo... Truth...people who tell the truth would not have to resort to such juvenile attempts at making a president look stupid. I have absolutely NO respect for people who use such tactics.

    This is wonderful...

The office of President does not bestow ANYTHING upon the office holder, other than power.

    • It doesn't bestow greatness
    • It doesn't mean that that person has any more right to respect than the next person
    • It doesn't mean that the post-holder is always right
    • It doesn't mean the post-holder is clever
    • It doesn't mean the post-holder is honest
    • It doesn't mean the post-holder has an agenda other than that they espouse

Republicans often show a naive belief that the shrubbery is great, worthy of respect, wise. clever, honest and open. N ot all, by any streach, but a lot of the more, er, vocal ones.

These same beliefs were those held by people about their King or Queen; that because they were the ruler they were great, worthy of respect, wise, clever - even honest

It's very amusing that these primative beliefs in the qualities conferred upon someone by respect of a job are still held to by many Republicans... I mean, what sort of argument is 'be respectful to the President because he is the President?' He can earn it like the rest of us.

... of course, if it's a Democratic President, then suddenly what many (not all) Republicans would call 'unAmerican' become okay, and suddenly if becomes open season on the President, but hypocracy and politics are siblings...
