Nah, it can be handy on certain occasions and situations.

Yes. But like many of us who were loyal, I thought this was part of the price we paid for having the truth and prospect of God's eternal blessings.

I was embarrassed being a JW while I WAS a JW.

It was painfully embarrassing as a kid. It's embarrassing that I chose to return as an adult. But I now swell with pride for having come out the other side despite it all.

    Oh god yes!

Remember, I got "the troof" myself, LOL! It's three times worse for me... I can't say that I was born into it, LOL!

I don't tell any new friends.

    No I don't feel embarrassed.

I learned a lot about a "world" within itself. I have great understanding about a "group" of people that I never would have before.

It has shaped me to the person I am today.

yes. I know I didn't know any different and was raised it was the only truth, but just the same it was never easy, you always felt like you didn't fit in (even though I did get along with most of the kids in school) but you always feel different.. and then when you leave and start dating and getting to know someone and they find out you never did this.. or you never did that.. They look at you like you must have lived under a rock or something..

well yeah.. we kind of did
