No, not in the official sense.

What I have learned is that I must do what I can in any situation. I figure it is like this,

    prepare for the unexpected

This might seem silly, but it meant alot.

I used to drive a big exteneded cab 4x4 that was really crapy on gas. When I would go see my dad it would always take 1/2 tank or more (he lives 3 hours away). Well I was REALLY hurting for cash. I was going up to see my dad and I knew I was going to have to ask him for gas money to get back. I didnt want to burden my dad because he was going through some financial stuff so I was really stressed out. Well, on that trip, and on that trip only- it only took 1/4 tank of gas

A small bit of love, but it touched me.

when my wife and I were separated i decided to check out a strip club (for anthropological reasons only)however I first stopped at Shopko to return a defective item. I purchased the item with my credit card yet surprizingly the return counter person gave me cash back, it was 10 dollars. It was not unitl later that I learned how this was by divine providence, At the strip club the cover charge was $10 cash!! I could not have entered that night without the intervention of a powerful spirit being that knew my desire and loved me enuf to fill my needs. I swear this is true and noone can convince me it was not a miracle.

Yes sir, I escaped a terrible cult that I was involved in and was able to return to normal civilian life. Further miracles followed when I was able to meet a nice normal but "wordly" girl to marry and have a child with. The miracles just kept pouring in, from being able to buy a house to the chance to go to college, someone sure does love me.

Nope, never experienced a miracle. But something even more amazing than a miracle to me is the fact that grown adults actually believe in them.

I worked on a 'two day mairacle' once! Yep, there was just a empty lot, and two days later a Kingdom Hall. (Only two people fell off the roof and no one died!) I guess the Catholic Church is not the 'only' organization that has miracles!

I recall trying to reason with him that Jesus nor the angels act in a direct manner. But he was so adamant that it was so. I have never forgotten that conversation.

That was one of the first seeds of doubt i ever expereinced. Who was I to tell this man, that his miracle was mistaken.

This is one thing that sent up a red flag. I noticed JWs refuse to acknowledge other people's miracles and accounts of finding Jesus unless it's somehow tied into their organization.

One time in field service, we met a man who said he used to do street preaching. The dub I was with said he was with Satan, implying that unless you preach the word as a JW, it's Satanic.

It's only amazing to think that way if you've never experienced one. If you had, it goes beyond mere belief.

Oh, I've experienced many things that some people call "miracles". I just know better. Kinda like the kid that figures out that it's not really the Tooth Fairy leaving the money under the pillow.

    :-(..... So sad ...

If we believe God will NOT -- does NOT -- canNOT talk to us/bless us, or 'make miracles' for us, then I'd take a wild guess that He won't. :-/

"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he." Prov. 23:7a.

As a JW, we were taught NOT to believe God CAN deal with us in various ways, and now I find that highly offensive. If I knew then what I know now, I would have been oh so Much More OPEN TO RECEIVE. If our minds/hearts are shut, there's not a whole lot He can do.

Anyway, this 'grown adult' plans to keep "EXPECTING miracles."
