Would you ever shun?

    A very interesting question.

I would not be close friends with people I did not care for. But I can listen and have a conversation with them nonetheless. But I would deliberately avoid contact with people who I believe had truly evil dispositions. I would not be rude, but I know I could not feel comfortable socializing with them.

A puzzle: if you would shun a child molester, but never shun your family... would you shun your child if s/he were a child molester??

    My answer: no, not necessarily.

Yeah. The only people that I've ever shunned were jws - evil dispositions - wanted to see us harmed - and intermittently pretend like they never did any wrong.

Even if they said sorry at a later date, I wouldn't know whether to believe it, or whether they were, at best, sorry because they thought themselves in trouble. Reminds me of Jesus' teaching words, "Away from me, I don't know who you are"

I shun them, to their face, in front of anyone - it's a protest against the completely unacceptable nature of their disposition. Best people in the world ? - In forty years, the worst that I have ever encountered.

If a person was a Jehovah's Witness and had multiple-personality disorder, couldn't they techinically shun themself?

I guess that doesn't seem very practical, nevermind.
