I have always wanted to try haggis... it actually sounds very good. Could anyone describe its taste?

FMZ,
Your avatar makes me feel queasy!
Anyway, haggis. The texture is not disimilar to grits, however, the taste is much spicier.
BTW, I'm probably the only UK'er here to have tasted grits. I recall Waiting cooking them in November.

Oh yes!
There is something of a revival in the old traditional cheapie Brit foods of late. We held a dinner party last month and served braised ox-tail as the main course. The total cost for the meat for 8 people was around £6 which bought us 2 ox-tails.
Tonight I'm serving faggots with leeks, new potatoes, runner beans and cauliflower. I buy the faggots from my local butcher, they're the old-fashioned type wrapped up in suet.

I love international food, but this thread isn't helping me to want to visit England...
Exactly, I would probably starve to death. Valis, if the offer you spotted dick, run like crazy. LMAO
The only British food I can remember, and I thought it was delicious at the time, is Fish and Chips
