No I actually did type in Jehovah Witness not Jehovah's Witness or Witnesses for that matter because the plural is a narrower seach and it won't yield as many results.
Okay, I'm re-educated, thanks. No offense intended.

SItes that helped me:
Doc Bob: http://docbob1.home.comcast.net/df_forms.htm
Beyond Jehovah's Witnesses: http://members.aol.com/beyondjw/
I still have the print-outs of some of those pages.
Of course, my favourite site (after this one, of course) is my own: http://quotes.watchtower.ca/
I did a lot of reading at freeminds.org and then I called the man who runs that site, Randy Watters - he was a tremendous support to me in the beginning - THANKS RANDY!!!! and thanks to those here who helped me too.
I was away from the JWs for about 6 years before I looked them up on the internet. The whole lifestlyle turned me off. I didn't want to live my life, dragging my ass to meetings 3 times a week, dragging my ass out on field service, being judged by others in the KH, no drinking, no heavy metal music, etc.
Actually, I didn't intentionally look for JWs on the internet. I had taken all my JW past and locked it into a closet. I stumbled across freeminds from another message board I was on. Someone provided a link, and I followed. My eyes were glued to the site for days.
BTW, my favorite cartoon was the one on the long titles for the publications. I laughed for a good 15 minutes!
Thanks for the kudos, guys and gals. For those unawares of the cartoons, there are actually two sources for this (well, maybe three)
Bethel Cartoons (several types to choose from, read Cabeen's secret book and Quak's cartoons):

Rose's Cantina:
http://www.freeminds.org/aftrhour/aftrhour.htm
Armagedon Okies by Gary Busselman (highly recommended):
http://www.freeminds.org/buss/okies.htm
I also have some other sites for specific issues:
WatchtowerNews.org (latest news from around the world):
ExJWs.Net (stories by long-time members of the Watchtower, and the late Barbara G. Harrison's book online, by her permission):
RandyTV.com (for the media stuff and the United Nations issues):
Armageddon Museum (a lot of anecdotal history from the early years):
I'm happy to be of help these last 23 years now! There are almost 400 megabytes online, and more is hosted at my friend Danny Haszard's site:
peace,
Randy Watters
Main site:
New books on the Watchtower:

I was away fromt the JW lifestyle since the early 80s. I rebuilt my life and NEVER looked back. No regrets.
I was bored one afternoon at work last October and typed "Jehovahs Witnesses" into the search engine and landed at this JWD website. It so piqued my interest that I had to read every post. I had never been exposed to other x JWs before. I find the camaraderie on this site great. It is comforting to know that we can all come together over the internet and continue to find encouragement.
There it is!!!
Thanx Randy for helping me let out my sense of humor about the JWs!
I've read most of the sites out there but without question I read Beyond Jehovah's Witnesses until 3:00am. I couldn't stop. Then I started on all the others. I would have to say for resources, Kents site is pretty damned good.
I was out of the organization by Dec, 1999 but it wasn't until Dec 1st. 2001 that I happened about this site. One day I just decided to for the hell of it print ex jws and what popped up was amazing. I couldn't get enough from the sites. It was like finding an extra jelly sandwich in my picnic basket.
I remember getting the names of ex jws from the net and coping them to see if anyone I knew may have left the organization. I was suprised and then thrilled to see that I knew several person on that list. I think it was from that site that it had the link to this site and as they say the rest is history. By far this is the best forum. I just love it. I have tried hooking up to other forums, but they don't seem to have the same impact to me as this one. So I have stayed here and from time to time I may post elsewhere. I always use the same name, Orangefatcat.
This site like the other sites I went to helped my to come to grips with the lies that are in the organization. I started reading Crisis of Conscience a powerful piece of literature that I couldn't put down. I helped my to see that I was right for years, that if fighting was in the congregations, then the society may be responsible too. And sure enough I was right. It made me more tranquil and calm knowing that a former member of the Governing Body was able to break away from the WTS and enlighten person as to the inner workings of the organization. For this book I was truly grateful. So if you have an oppourtunity to read it, you will enjoy the straight forwardness of Raymond Franz. I know it must have taken a trememdous toll on him and his consciense to leave the oraganization. I hope that everyday Ray is blessed by the true God of prophecy and he has some comfort in knowing he has saved many persons from a treacherous organization.
Anyways I think that Simon and his wife and all the moderators and assistants have done a wonderful thing for ex jws and I shall be ever in HIs debt. Thanks Simon and Anagard.
All my love

I exited pre-Internet, my first 'apostate' contact was David Reed, then i sorta languished in limbo until the debut of 'Crisis of Conscience'.
The following experience clinched it for me:::
Adventures in the field service. CARRYING ON IN THE CAR-GROUP.
Sexual harassment sanctified by,'sacred service'.OR call it consecrated gossip .
The Elder, [Rockland Massachusetts] known as the "stupid" Elder, (Jeffery Damher look alike) , ( but don't forget,he's still 'appointed by the Holy spirit') Asked me;..." Have YOU BEEN OUT WITH THE SISTERS YET"???
Hmmmmm,I wonder what that's suppose to mean?
Actually,my first take was that it's a sexual connotation of some sort..... I should have known something was up when getting out to the parking lot the 'sisters' where perched and hovered, like birds of prey.
The first thing they let me know,is," sisters rule, brothers drool ".This is followed up by,'the sister who acts like a teenager;.[viz. man eater, slut.] Letting me know she is on her period so, I can calculate when her 'horny' day will be.The boss bitch..
The real duplicity,of wolves in sheep's clothing..
[ note; nothing I post is made up ]
