My story is similar is Scully, my family has been treated very badly. The terrible lack of basic human kindness drove me away. I later ound the net. The first site I found was Silentlambs. What i read there convinced me i had made the right decision. There stories were my story. I knew their stories were true..

JWS worry about the net and warn people about the apostate sites. What they should do is keep their house in order and show some of that love they all claim to have.It is b/cthey lie and hurt people that people start looking for help outside the org. They are their own worst enemy.

Roger that;. My point of 'know' return Jan 5th 1992 marked the beginning of my apostate apprenticeship. They played me for 33 abusive years. "A mind is a terrible thing to waste" sooo, I'am in their face in cyberspace. Watchtower leaders underestimated the devastating inroads that would be made against them on the Information superhighway. Jehovah's Witnesses have their prejudice and we have the Pentium processors. Realized it wasn't "for me" in 96, but still basically believed until last year when a true friend broke it down for me how they are a cult or at least cultish. That's when I began my internet journey and wow! how nice to find out my inner voice was guiding me correctly, I'll never ignore it again! I've read so many sites it's impossible to say any one of them clinched the deal for me, even at first I was sort of resistant to the idea of exploring "apostate" teachings, as if a lightning bolt was gonna get me or something... My favorites are Beyond JW and Freeminds.org. Also I enjoy reading various sociological and psychological studies relating to the Witnesses.

Sites didnt make me leave, but they were helpful sometimes for the informationt hey offered, if offered without a catch. What I didn't like, were sites that were obviously set up by some evengelist with alterior motives (*winning your hearts to Jesis etc ad nauseum). I especially liked though, Freeminds, H20, AJWRB (and on Prodigy Service "Not the Party Line") and on Newsgroups alt.watchtower was sometiems a fun read. But H20, NTPL, alt.watchtower and a few others were very negative and perhaps not as helpful. Your milage may vary

    No site made me leave.

Doubtless sites such as this are a curse upon the WT Organization. People talking freely without Organization supervision . Cant have that.I bet they hate the internet. I have to tell the Organization, its only going to get worse as time goes by.
