    We (my new wife--non-jw) celebrated at home.

    Some people joked ?... about partaking at the KH...did anybody do that ? What was the reaction ?

    If you partook or celebrated elsewhere...what's your story ?

    * * * *

    Little Toe mentioned "Carr's Water Crackers" he buys in Scotland...unbelievably I found them here in Texas at the local "Wal-Mart"!

    I've 'missed' four Memorials already, but decided after reading so many threads here about doing it at home...I thought,"Why not?" It was a little weird, but very satisfying. I haven't prayed with anyone in 7 - 8 years. I said the prayer over the bread, she over the wine. We both partook...it was the most natural feeling I've ever had at a 'Memorial'. My wife and I were equals, both saying prayers. Jesus wanted his disciples to participate in this ritual rememberance...so we did.

    Someone on another thread rightly pointed out...15 - 16 million people show up at Kingdom Halls each year, all dressed up...to 'reject' the Lord's Evening Meal. I chose not to after 35 years of doing it wrong.

    Cheers to all of us !

    I'm celebrating tonight per the Jewish calendar rather than the WTS version.

    I cooked two lobster tails and had a bottle of Merlot. Then I passed gas.... A Pacific island tradition. Does that count?

    Yes, I partake at my church all the time. At times I even partake at home, using red wine or (purple) grape juice (precursor to wine) and Matzo (crackers, not balls), which I find in the ethnic food section of my local supermarket. It took me about 3 years after leaving the bOrg before I could bring myself to participate. The pastor of the church I attended said "if you believe Jesus died for your sins, please take the bread and cup" (grape juice at that church.) And I thought "I believe that!" So I did, and have been ever since. It took me a while to find a church that was a comfortable "fit," but now my husband (never a JW) joins me, and even got baptized and joined the church, too! God is good!

    I ate a gyro for lunch (w/ unleavened pita bread) and had some wine with dinner. Does that count?

    I partake every Sunday at my church - never realized it was "wrong" - according to the JW's until I joined the board. *rolls eyes*

    I had some unleavened tortilla chips and a couple of strawberry margaritas. Great California memorial where everyone is a partaker.
