    Hi Rev,

I just logged in to see if the scanner actually worked. When it took, I logged in here to put it up, yet cannot manage how to do so.

Most likely it is "just like the others", yet I haven't a clue, as I have not seen any other due to the fact I just logged in and have not read many threads, yet.

Please direct me to the others, sir. If it is indeed a duplicate, I will not bother to scan mine. However, I still need help on how to transfer a scanned doc.

I was pretty excited just to see the letter in my snail-mail box. It's not everyday you see an envelope in your box with U.N. on it. But yes, the contents were disappointing; as I know you are most likely saying to yourself..."what did they expect, the truth from the U.N.?" I will give you credit though...you were right! It seems it perturb them greatly all the mail they received on the issue. And they wish the matter to drop and inquire with the WTBTS' internal organization.

Two words though: we tried. And trying is much better than doing nothing.

Now, any help on transferring scanned docs?

    Sincerely, sKally

Hello, anyone. Some help here please. Why am I being ignored here? Found this thread on page five of active topics with only one reply. And I'm still not sure what Rev is referring to.

I'd like to put up the scan of the letter I got today from the U.N. that was snailmail.

If you all just do not care to read it, please say so. But some help would be nice.

to post your letter you will need a website where you can upload the image and then post it in here using the Insert picture from web link in the posting toolbox.

You could use the attachment button in the toolbar (the one that looks like a paper clip but I think the image will be too small to be useful to anyone.

If you don't have a website you could email it to me [email protected] and I will post it for you or give you the URL to post it yourself after it is on a website

sorry sf, I didn't get a chance to get back to this last night. If you want, you can post the image(s) at LambsRoar (http://www.lambsroar.org/db/) if you're a member, we have an image upload feature. Either create a post with the image or put the image in the gallery.

Once it's online, then you can right click on it, click 'properties', then copy the url of the image. Then you can post it here by clicking the icon above that is to the left of the smiley.

    sKally,

    1. Scan you document.

    2. SAVE the document on your computer as either a .gif or .jpg file

    3. Start either a new message or a reply here on JWD.

    4. Click on the paperclip icon ("Attach files"). This may take a minute or so to open.

    5. Scroll to the bottom of the newly-opened FILESTORE window, and scroll down to the bottom of thewindow.

    6. Follow the instructions for uploading a file. This takes time, so go get a cup of coffee while your computer talks to JWD.

    7. Once the file has been uploaded, it will show up in the menu of available files in the upper portion of the FILESTORE menu. Select the image you wish to attach to your posting by clicking the circle.

    8. SUBMIT your post.

You are 100% correct. If you really believe in something then you must do what you feel is right, no matter what other people think. While I myself didn't feel this way regarding the 2nd UN mail campaign, I applaud all of you for your efforts and for standing up for what you think is right.

Who knows... Maybe it'll work out for you guys in the end. I would enjoy nothing more than to come back here, swallow my pride and say "You guys were right and I had it all wrong".

Thanks LL and NN. I will try to upload it soon.

    Rev, thanks.

Trying DID produce results this morning in my local paper...

After talking to the AP newswire editor yesterday re: the sexual abuse caucas article that was not printed when it was fresh news, IT WAS printed today!

I stuck to my guns on this one and it produced results. I called her this morning to thank her and tell her that after all the emails and phone calls to the paper, she was the one that got the job done. I told her more will be coming so please keep printing them, as all communities have a right to know about sexual abuse of all children in their towns and counties. She said she is on top of it now.

It's a good feeling when hard work does not go un-noticed.

    Regarding the U.N. letter campaign...

Once I get the scanned doc uploaded, you'll see where it states that they (WTBTS) are no longer associated with U.N. That confirms of course, that they indeed WERE. And THAT is the point. As far as a smoking gun, who knows, perhaps we will see what we were campaigning for on their site and they will say "there is your smoking gun, now stop mailing us. We have done all we can". THAT will be a great day indeed.

What all of this footwork says to me is that I will not stop trying to bring forth the truth, as in time, it WILL produce results. The truth will be WITNESSED, NOT Jehovah!

    Take good care, sKally

It scanned alright, yet was huge. I'll just type out what it contains until I can figure the uploading part out:
