What we are feeling is that life is indeed worth living NOW in this "evil system of things".

YES, and its another beautiful day today, and my children are still here with me, so is the wife - LIFE IS GOOD!

I never could understand the whole '2nd chance' idea for everlasting life - it brings up too many questions - far more than it answers imo.

hoping nonjw die before the big A so they can get another chance is sick and twisted and although I didnt' hope this myself, I did believe it for a long time - sick sick sick.

What bothers me about the "Resurrection Hope" is that it still ain't a "done deal" when and if you wake up. The contract is signed in pencil until the "1000 years" are over. Then that whole sorting thing starts again when Satan is loosed. Then folks are going to be falling away again like "the sands of the seashore". If you happen to last through this process, then the contract gets "inked". Otherwise, you get to go to "sleep" again (this time forever) The key word is "hope". You "hope" you get resurrected. You "hope" your loved ones gets resurrected. No guarantees. This prospect tires me. Following the sentiments of one other poster, I "hope" to make my life now and the lives of my friends and family worth something now. Otherwise, it's all a crap shoot.

I stayed for longer than I felt comfortable, without any evidence to back up my feelings but because of the resurection hope I clung on. It was a relief to find out the Society had skeletons and were falable like everyone else...but very upseting for a long time as I realised with my faith destroyed by the WTBS , i'll never see my mother again.
