Has or is anyone here of the Anointed?

I would like to know more about the Abba Father thing in which those of the anointed "know" for certain without a shadow of a doubt they are chosen as Jesus brothers.

As a regular Christian, rather than a JW, I believe that the anointing is open to ANY one who repents and is baptized (Acts 2:16-37, and especially 38). I regularly speak to God as my father.

Little Toe may have a comment on this as well.

The door to the spirit being opened in someone isn't limited to those of certain beliefs or religions. It can be opened through certain practices, and unity can be experienced by anyone who puts in the effort, or it can happen by fluke. Religion, religious books and beliefs, however, can color those experiences. Many people preferr to keep it within the biblical context because it makes them feel safe, or bacause the prestige/exclusivity gives them an ego boost.

The Watchtower as you know teaches there are "two classes" of christians....the annointed and great crowd, all composed of JW's. The annointed are different than the great crowd. When "they" read the bible....it's like a special letter to "them" from their daddy. When the great crowd read the bible....it's like reading some "else" letter to "someone". They are not jesus brothers.....but mearly "tagalongs" that get other kinds of benifits from god, if they promise to be nice and copy the things jesus "real brothers" do. Jesus don't like anybody pickin on his brothers.

When the annointed cry out "abba"...they are saying "daddy" like a little child. The great crowd bastards aren't allowed to cry out abba.........cuz they are only heathen bastard "aliens".....and should feel lucky to be alive

I am not, but my ex-husband still believes he is of the annointed. He began partaking when he was in his early 30's. He is now 50. Not sure what you are asking??? He believed that he just came to know that he was. He dreamed of it and felt that his life after death was to be in the heavens. Sounds like BS to me.

Leslie, did you and your husband have sex?

I thought the anointed are all virgins that do not defile themselves with woman. LOL

A little sarcasm never hurt the soul. (I don't think)

    confused - nope for me.

but in comment to you relating the jw intrepretation of the indisputable 'something' that the anointed 'feel' from the 'spirit reckoning with their spirit', my opinion is that this is another wts mystery and seems unprovable. I never could understand their explantion and have always wondered about it and a lot of other things which is probably why I am here and at this point in my life with this org.

i'm currently still thinking the explanation R Franz gives in the latest version of COC fits the best - namely not some big emotional strange experience but ANY and ALL who accept jesus and follow him become part of the anointed. That simply makes me a parrot of someone else but what else is new?

for me, i'm not anything right now, I need time to heal wt spiritual damage me thinks

not in the little flock or other sheep apparently...

don't you have to be baptized before a certain time in order to claim to be "annointed"? because there's a lady that goes to my kingdom hall, she's a real sweet lady. but there's no way in hell she's old enough to be born before 1935. she doesn't even have a grey hair! so how can so many younger persons claim to be annointed?

I have never heard anyone on this board claim to have been of the anointed in their days as dubs.

The whole thing is shrouded in mystery to us of the "Other sheep" The "Abba " bit , as I understand was a simple feeling of closeness to God as a father and a feeling within oneself that the "Greek Scriptures " or NT had been written "Especially for me"

There seems a lot of contradictions . Although the basic calling ended in 1935 there is nothing to stop an individual deciding that they have the call. The elders cannot tell them they are wrong . They can commit sins and come back. I was instrumental once in "Reactivating" a sister who had been d/f'd 20 years previously . She was of the remnant before and took emblems again when re instated.

Now, had she been replaced with another when she was d/f'd , If so , are there now 144,001?

    I dunno,
