Anyone Here of the Anointed?

The desire has less to do with an ultimate location, as the desire to be with Christ.

Personally it caused a lot of disharmony, for me.
I was humbled by the experience.
I was further humbled by the JW doctrines which limit the number, speak of someone having had to have fallen away, and the 1935 thing (given that I wasn't born then).

As my mind became further enlightened (which is a gradual process) I could not reconcile those doctrines, and so I ultimately rejected them. They are false and keep people in bondage with "heaven been bound up" from those who would listen to them (one of the few assertions that I would get dogmatic about ).

One of my friends (way back when) married an 'anointed'. He was very young at the time, late twenties, it was around 1980. He, too, was a very humble and spiritual person. I did not get to know him well, cause by that time I was 'out', but I liked his ways!

    FYI.

Don't misunderstand me please gentlemen. I can relate to what you say, however I would rather be at Fratton Park (Portsmouth versus Birmingham) this very minute than anywhere else at all. So I guess that I was never meant to receive such a calling. Englishman.

Fratton Park sounds good, though I'm thinking of knocking off early and hitting the beach, myself

The point has more to do with our conception of the afterlife than, while we enjoy our happy meanderings, here "below".

On another note. The funny thing is that I don't feel any different, now that I've left the borg.
According to them my place has probably been taken.
Like "God" couldn't foresee who would fail, and so had to go to plan "B" to replace the rejects...

    LT "anointed reject" class.

I like earth. I always liked the earth. I did think it might be cool if God and Jesus asked us to come on up to heaven for a vacation. I'm serious. I wondered if maybe those with the earthly hope would get to visit heaven and meet Jehovah, who was never really that real to me, or Jesus who was.

"Give me land. Lots of land. Far beneath the starry skies. Don't fence me in."

    On another topic, but related:
Some believe that the "New Earth", of Peter and John's descriptions, will be inhabited by Jesus and the "anointed" (though that term is kinda peculiar to the JW's - most just call themselves "Christians").

To be honest, you are very like this man in the way you talk to people, your calmness of spirit, and your quiet, steadfast faith. I am no longer a Christian, but I would imagine that God would not change his mind and desert you just because you left the cult. You are still one of his family. This is who you are.

And, for clarity, I say that in all sincerity, I do not take your faith lightly.

Everyone on this board could very well be annointed and not know it yet? If anyone asks me, I'm annointed.

Just curious...........anyone care to respond...............is this thread limited only to the "Christian" perception of connection with the Divine? I know that Confused posted a question in the JW context.........but, just curious what us "non-Christian" have to say about this subject? I personally feel that any who want to be "Lightworkers" can be........and that it is a non-denominational spirituality that is most true to "source".

    Just my opinion,

    Terri
