Although all the suffering, madness and divisions in this world do right raise doubts, keep in mind most is by man's doing...A close look at nature in its true state...or even how it adapts to the curves that humans throw at it...is evidence of a great design.

Unlocking the who and wherefores of that design is the challenge, however. Until I see solid evidence to the contrary, I don't think were alone. He gives us the strengh to make it through each day.

All valid questions about yellow jackets. However, it's a bit of a jump from a yellow jacket visiting flowers to a creater spirit (but that's ok). I sometimes fantasize an overspirit of the particular animal group i may be observing. Or, even a nanospirit within or about the bug itself. I haven't come to conclusions about it all, but i too enjoy observing the actions and efforts of even the smallest of bugs.

Many people just don't want to answer and be accountabe to anyone, even God

belief in an intelligent universal life force that supports the existence of all things (which could in essence be referred to as god) doesn't necessitate being held acocuntable to or for anything.

in my opinion. religion and god. 2 very separate and distinct concepts

Storms, earthquakes, flood, disease etc. are not man's doing. But humans through their own ingenuity and hard work have managed to build some defences against all these things.

A really close look at nature shows evidence of adaptation due to natural selection.

Unlocking the who and wherefores of that design is the challenge, however. Until I see solid evidence to the contrary, I don't think were alone.

You'll never see evidence to the contrary, badger. It's not like God is going to pop up and tell us he doesn't exist. Perhaps you'd be better off holding the negative view until you get evidence to the contrary.

He gives us the strengh to make it through each day.

You maybe, he gives me nothing.

I'm not saying with metaphysical certitude that He does...I'm just saying if I had to bet, that's where the money would be.

I always find it interesting that the existence of life and all the beautiful and good things in the world are evidence of God, because God is of course good. All the "bad" things in the world, are of course, "man's" fault.

Ever take a look at nature/the animal kingdom? Isn't always pretty. Especially the lower you go down on the food chain. Life before this last century wasn't very pretty either: you were old at 30; disease/infections with no cure. I think it's phenomenal what humans have accomplished by using their brains and ingenuity to improve life above and beyond what "God" allegedly was able to do.

I think the only reasons people don't believe or don't want to believe in the existance of a Creator is the gross errors of 'religion' or the 'accountability factor.' Many people just don't want to answer and be accountabe to anyone, even God --- Flash

This is true...but when a lion kills, she kills one. When a human in power does, untold masses suffer.

And yes, humans have accomplished much...that's our best gift over the animals...and also a heavy part of our responsibility.

Not sure if you getting at the 'men ruining the earth' view, but good news! The water, air and overall environment ARE getting cleaner; again, thanks to man's effort.
