Ray!!
I'm thrilled for you. Wouldn't it be great if every person here had a moment like that to share??
All the best to both you and your buddy as you get re-acquainted.

About eight years ago my "Best Man" got DF'ed. I'd been his best man in 1990, and he mine in 1993.
When I decided to leave the borg I looked him up.
We're back to where we were, as pals, and I stay with him whenever I'm in that part of the country (Mansfield - England).
The year before last he got remarried, and I had the pleasure of being at his wedding and doing the reading (he obviously had a new bunch of friends, by this time, hence someone else had been asked to be Best Man before I arrived back on the scene.
I can quite understand the emotions. The pair of us were in tears, during the first phone call.
Great to hear, Ray - please keep us posted. It's good to see you here
Wonderful news, Ray.
That is what a lot of us here are holding our breaths for. That our old friends will see the light.
Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,

The entire gammit of emotions over the telephone.
I have spoken to my friend, finally after 20 years and so many months.....for the first time.
I can't believe it....I can't believe it.
When I was a JW, he was MY BEST FRIEND.....and it looks like we're going to pick up, somehow from where we left off.
Yes, it's a beginning, but a good one.
I'm needing to be peeled off the ceiling.
If you haven't read my on-line story, it's on Mike Ferguson's site, as well as ACB (Common Bond). My friend is mentioned, but not by name. I will not mention his name due to his present situation.
But hearing his voice: well.....ME< speechless?? For once, yes.
It can happen. And for me: it has.
I got my friend back, 20 years later. It feels great!!!!!!!!
