Thank you all for your warm welcome... *flushed*

*Acknowledges all the welcomes from all the nice folk*

I thought it would be good to help with my recovery and experience to find a board that would have a dual purpose rather than a rattling board. This seems to be the place and I am so glad for this welcome.

Other than the erroneous introduction which was picked up by Alan [thanks mate!!] I hope I can be useful in sharing what I have discovered and how it affected me.

As for my errors, here are my thoughts...

    Gerber Bible:

Yes, Alan, I understand now how I protrayed that wrongly. Thanks for pointing it out. The fact still stands true that although I may have been wrong with my assessment of the origins of the NWT the following must be observed.

If it was not in the NWT but it was claimed by Gerber then this following statement fails:

Gerber "... and the spirit said " At that time you were told that Christ is the highest of the spirits created by God and the sole one to be created directly by Him; Christ Himself was not God, but only one of Gods sons."

(Quoted from Communication with the spirit world of God page 300) Not from any Bible.

This is exactly what F. W. Franz the president at the time teaches. This is a proven case of his teachings because Franz, under oath in a Scotland Court in 1954 made the very same statement of his teaching.

Quote " Well, we believe that the angels of God are used in directing Jehovah's Witnesses."

... the servant class on earth are directed by the Lord through his duly consituted deputies of angels (Light Vol. II 1930 page 20)

Now.. WT writes " the Apostle John warns " Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world." 1 John 4:1"

How do we recognise a false prohpet? Well, one of the tests is to look at previous prophecy and see if it came to pass. The other is to compare their teachings against their actions and the third is to ask Jesus in his name to reveal to you whether this is a prophet of God or not. The last one being the most sure way to go of course.

Any practicing JW can open themselves to Jesus Christ and take him into their hearts. This would be a sure fire way of knowing once and for all if they are with God's organisation. to this day I don't know of a single person who has done that and stayed in spirit, in body. Sometimes it can take years for you to physically leave such an organisation but your spirit can leave in an instant.

    Angels and Women:

Yes the book is a revision of the original Seola. I will read up further on it's revision and the publishers. I seem to recall that other than a Bible Student revising it, the publishers were linked in some way to the organisation? I also seem to recall that the content of the book was not altered whereby it accounts for the actions of angels and women in the time that would be pinpointed by the events of Adam and Eve being cast out of Eden and until the Great Flood? I want to get that factually correct because I have no intentions of reading such demonic materials myself [and I'm certainly not inviting anyone else to do so on my behalf either]. I know my spirit is strong but I don't want to enter a second bout of Crisis by inviting it into my mind. Call me foolish but I don't push my luck with certain things especially after what I went through.

Eagerly awaiting feedback from you Alan. I like to get it straight in my mind. I hate lose ends :-)

Eagerly awaiting any comments and responses from anyone else too.
