This is my first time posting on any site. I am still one of Jehovah's Witnesses but am inquiring about information about Rand Cam. I have recently been questioning my faith and the organization, due to some situations. The Rand Cam situation was brought to my attention. I have tried to sort through all of the information but get lost. I would appreciate any help, when I draft a letter to the society and the elders I would like to have all of my facts straight and accurate.

    Thank you all!

Hi Nemo - glad you found us!

What you want to do is get copies ofthe "10K"s (annual reports) that were filed by Regi US with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC). Rand Cam Engines is a Canadian Corporation, but they were also listed with the SEC as REGI US.

It is in the annual reports from past years that it is made VERY clear that the WATCHTOWER BIBLE & TRACT SOCIETY was gifted with the stock. After this scandal broke, the Watchtower spin-meisters went to work, and it seems that the Watchtower no longer holds the stock, although the stock may be held by another WTS entity under a different name.

Nobody's "made a killing" with the REGI stock - it was selling for about seven cents a share a year or so ago and hit a high of forty-six cents. It is most recently quoted at twenty cents a share. But "making a killing" isn't the point - the point is that this company was involved in military technology.

The rand cam engine appears to be a good product, and it looks like it was being considered for the engine of the little (and some not-so-little) "pilotless" surveillance aircraft. The advantages of the engine are that it it is relatively quiet and offers good fuel efficiency.

I have - somewhere - some of REGI's SEC forms I mentioned earlier. They're digital documents, so if you'd like, I can email them to you. Send me a PM with your email address. DO NOT POST YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS ON AN OPEN MESSAGE. It might take me a while to locate the documents in my archives.

Once you look over the free digital documents, you can decide which of the hard-copy reports you want to buy from the SEC, if you want to verify the information.

    nemo,
You are right. WTS did sell the stocks (or transfer to somewhere). However, if "the apostates" did not expose this scandal (and United Nations scandal) we can be sure WTS still keeps those shares, still has the name in NGO/DPI (United Nations) list. I hate the Pharisees in Governing Body. They will go to the valley of Hinnom very first.

You might also want to consider; why the Organisation was registered as a United Nations Non-Governmental Organisation (UN NGO). The apparent excuse was so that they could have a library card... but brothers in Malawi who needed a card to even buy food to eat refused to have a card as it violated their neutrality.

At the same time it'd be interesting to see why at the same time as brothers and sisters in Malawi were being persecuted for not having a card, it was a wide-spread and accepted practise in Mexico to pay a bribe to a government official to get a card that basically got you out of national service.

There's loads of info aboput the NGO scam around, for the fully detail of the Mexcio card scam read Crisis of Conscience; I hope that you're at the point where you can read something like that; many Witnesses are so well conditioned they refuse to even read contrary opnions to that of the society.
