Anyone have any thoughts on American Idol lately.
I was really dismayed when they voted Jennifer off two weeks ago. I couldn't believe it. It looks like she will still have a career though.
John Stevens is just so nice but he needs voice lessons, as Paula suggested for him.
Who do you think will win?
At this point, I think it's between Diana and LaToya. I can't stand Fantasia............her personality is very annoying.

I was like you.. I was really disgusted the week they put Latoya, Fantasia and Jennifer in the bottom three. And then Jennifer being voted off. .. I felt the whole thing must have been rigged. or something.
Finally, the next week they did vote John Stevens off. I think it was a big relief for him. I really think he knew he should have been gone some time ago. Nice kid.. but can't sing.
I do like Fantasia singing a lot... but yes her personality can be a bit irritating .
Although Latoya is nice and sings okay.. I find her just a bit tooo polished for an amateur.
Diane Degamma although young sang wonderfully last week
To tellyou the truth Mulan, I did not like many of the songs presented with the Copacabana guy.

I still like that hawaiann girl. When she does a good job I like her style of singing

I agree, Diana or LaToya. I think it's a toss-up as far as talent goes, although I enjoy listening to Diana more.
I love Gloria Estefan, but thought her songs were not right for American Idol. They were too difficult possibly. The only ones who did them well were Diana, LaToya and Jasmine.
I love Jasmine, but I do love all things Hawaiian too. She isn't consistent enough to win though.
George is a sweet guy but also not good enough to win.

I only watched it last week because mom's power was out and she came to my house to watch. That said, don't you remember how awful Jasmine was? She was on for like one line then she hit a bad note and never got it back. She sucked.

You're right. I was thinking of the way she sang on the special last night, and she was really good.
I thought the young red-haired kid did a wonderful job on the "King of the Road" song, but other than that, I think his voice needs some maturing.
Fantasia irritates me--both her voice (nasally) and her personality.

ps: i'm kinda glad that jeniffer was voted off. she wasn't my favorite "if i'm being honest" and her bug eyes bothered me so, i couldn't watch her sing or talk, i had to just listen. she didn't do a thing for me.
