    Wild Horses, sorry to hear of the troubles you have had with your son........I too am always preaching, NO DRINKING AND DRIVING!!!!! I am sure your son will have learned his lesson, he might not refrain for alcohol, that is a whole diff. subject ,,,,but I bet he does think twice about driving drunk again. All the times you warned him is going to come back to him and he will see you were right. Too bad they , just as we did, have to learn the hard way.

    I have let my son be as a free of spirit as possible in most things, even letting some of his childish pranks slide,,,,,,,( like the church sign thing) ya know kids are going to do these things. We have to remember it wasnt long ago we did the same things. Honestly it wasnt that long ago, I did some church defacing myself...( the Kingdom Hall) , and I could have been caught and taken to jail!!!!!!!!!And I for sure know better.

    There isn't much I can say that hasn't been said already CG.

    I think you need to go. It sounds to me like you need a hug, and I am sure there will be plenty of them for you at the Fest.

    Just do it, you will be rewarded.

    Haven´t we all done the same things yhat he´s done, exept getting in trouble doing so part. Why be ashamed of that? Aren´t we all (at least the ones with parents still in the "truth") something to be ashamed of (in the KH). That said, don´t be ashamed over your kid.

    <tears up>

    You guys are so devastatingly awesome... How could I miss the chili-fest when there are going to be such wonderful friends there. I guess I was doing a pity party last night. Now *that's* embarassing... hehehe. I hate when I do that. I've had back problems recently (nothing that a few chiro visits won't fix) and the anxiety of my son's troubles aggravates it. I was in a lot of pain, physical and emotional, last night and just didn't know what to do with myself! He called yesterday to give me his new cell phone number, and when I speak with him I guess I dwell on it, and it is cumulative, so by the evening I was a blithering idiot.

    Thank you so much for all the love, kindness and support you've given. It made my heart so glad to log on here and read all the incredible notes of friendship. It meant alot.

    I heart you guys.

    I am so glad you got support here to encourage you to attend! I think this will be the best thing for you. We talked on chat, so you know how I feel about our children's mistakes. There is only so much guilt we can personally take since their actions are out of our control but in their own..

    You need a get away!! so go girl and have a good time!!!
