  All any of that means is understand your enemy.

  And we are coming to understand our enemy. The only thing they understand and respond to is brute force. Thanks to the pussyfooting, politially correct, "outraged" left that we would dare to humiliate Iraqi prisoners of war, the left has divdied the nation. Iraqis and the Muslim world are exploiting it.

  They are barbarous. They don't understand anything else. Get a Iraqi government set up as quickly as possible and get the hell out. Spend the war money on high tech national security both at home and abroad.

  Let them destroy themselves. We'll all be better off.

  The sickening thing is that YOU live in a country that, with freedom, allows you the luxury to actually take the time to understand the world around you.
  

  Attitudes like yours have made short work of FUBARing the world situation. You'd get my daughter killed, and I'd do anything to stop people like you from swaggering my country to her doom. The irony is that you should understand your enemy very well, as you have the EXACT same mentality, even if different social mores.

  Perhaps one day you and a terrorist will get the chance to argue in the only language your type can "understand". It won't really matter who wins though, since people who speak that language are all going straight to hell.

  How is it that you are allowed to even post on this forum; calling people "god damned worthless American"? Whatever. Obviously you have to call people names because you're point isn't clear.

  Beyond that, you can dispense with the "racist pig" self-righteous attitude. This feeding frenzy over the maltreatment of Arab priosoners OBVIOIUSLY garners the world's attention. Their history of murder, maiming, torture, and most recently brutally beating the corpes of American civilians they bombed and haging their charred bodies on a bridge---nah, that's not newsworthy.

  This is such a blatantly partisan effort, it's a joke. The economy's going too well, and jobs are being added, so we've got to focus on this outrage.

  You can call it whatever you want. But the FACT is that these people have lived this way for hundreds of years--why do we think we can "reform" them and teach them how to be democratic and free.

  Right, I'm glad you are so much better than people who obvserve the fact that Arab nations have been characterized by both internal and external violence for hundreds of years, lived in substandard conditions, and are oppressive to women...

  Obviously it's okey-dokey by your standards to label people "god-damned worthless Americans." That's not racisct of course..

  And I don't for a minute think that all Muslims/Arabs are barbarous and violent. Unfortunately the social/political/cultural and religious forces all work together to create violent and opressive environment where brute force and fear keeps opressive leaders in power. I know plenty of Muslim/Arab people who have comed to the US who live in pease and capitalize on economic opportunity. They escaped.

  They do not appreciate the opportunity they have now that Saddam is gone.

  They sure don't. There is plenty more opportunity now; the problem is you're not dealing with American people. You are dealing with people from a third world country who think that America is an evil empire and is the cause of today's woes. Most don't have television sets or anything; they struggle just to eat and live.

  The only things that they hear are from extremists and religion. Both say that the United States is a horrible horrible place.

  There are no answers here; everything that the United States or anyone can do is wrong wrong wrong. It wouldn't have mattered if Canada invaded for crying out loud... (unfortunately our canoes are in the workshop for now... we only have two airplanes and a shotgun) we would be portrayed the same. It just doesn't work friends. And the killing will not end until the United States gets the hell out of there once and for all, unfortunately. I"m not saying abandon at this point whatsoever. What to do is a tough choice for America; that's for sure.

  Donald Rumsfeld, LOL! Just throw some salt into that wound....

  It seems to me that in Iraq and other areas of the middle east, violence has become the end in itself. No point, no rationale, let's just blow up things and shoot at each other until everything is destroyed and everybody is dead.

  Leaving isn't the same thing. Those people in Iraq don't DESERVE to have Americans dying for them. They don't deserve a free society. Why force it on them? Take a few of those clerics, sit them down and say "look, we're leaving, here are the keys to the kingdom. We don't give a rat's ass what you do within your borders to you're own people. Gas em', beat em' or give them each a million dollars. We don't care. Just one thing. You screw with us, we'll be back and we'll take you out just like we did Saddam. We'll kill your family, just like we killed his sons. Any questions?" End of story. BTW, when did we invade Lebenon, Iran or Somalia?
