Hey Seeitall...... You are right about TOOL, they are this generations answer to Pink Floyd in my opinion anyway. As far as guitarist I agree with Stevie Ray Vaughn, also have to add George Lynch, Zack Wylde, and of course Jimi Hendrix, without Hendrix the history of guitarists would be completely different. Eddie Van Halen gets an honorable mention. Also, my friend Terry, previously of Alien Ant Farm, can play a blues guitar like it's nobody's business.

High fives to Pleasuredome for mentioning Iron Madien. Everything I know about world history came from listening to The Maidens :)

If you ask what my current fave bands are, they are also from the Great White North..... Broken Social Scene and Metric.....

Sorry, I think I was off topic. There are some very very talented bands. I love KIIS and The Cult, Heart. But my favorite band of all time is QUEEN. This is a band that didnt make songs, they made full blown anthems. I love theatrical rock like Rush and Coheed and Cambria. I also like some of the newer "gothic, love metal" bands like HIM and Sixty Nine Eyes. Some CCR and Skynard. That's just my rock preferences. Dont get me started on some Bob Marley, Patsy Cline, Elton John, and NWA :)

Can I get a shout out for Uriah Heep?

I bought the Demons And Wizards on vinyl for my last birthday as well as an old pioneer turntable.

"Why don't we listen to the voices in our hearts?"

I loved UH as a teen.

I think Zep is probably tops. Have you all forgotten Mountain, James Gang, very early Grand Funk as in Closer To Home? I loved Sabbath. They were my first concert in '74. I can still recall 1/2 inch tall Ozzie (the $4.50 seats) singing Sweet Leaf. It was magic. I saw Uriah Heep, too. Rush was awesome. I do really like Metallica.

I still think that Zep is tops though. I'll have to think on it and get back to you.
