Hey anybody remember the rumor about Stairway to Heaven,,that if you played it backward it said something about satan??

Years ago if you went to a guitar store you would almost alway hear somebody trying to play the arpeggios to that song it sound so good,,I never did learn it myself,,I'm not a very good imitator,,even if I love the song.

I don't know if you would consider Live heavy metal but I think they were the rockenist band of the 90s then Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Sound Garden.

Ed Kawalczyk STILL makes me dizzy. The man just has other worldly power. He may not be handsome but boy when he cuts loose that powerful voice singing and then the way he moves...Magic.

    Flyin'

Swooned today when someone played Meltdown on the Pizza Hut juke box.

We started out talking Heavy Metal, now we're all over the place.

Sabbath edges out Metallica. I don't consider Led Zep heavy metal.

best guitarists. Too many to name or remember. Some of my favs(that I remember at the moment):

Clapton, Van Halen, Knopfler, Page, Harrison(very underrated), Hendrix, SR Vaughn, The Edge, Santana - I'm forgetting bunches I know. Johnson, Satriani and those technical wizard players are great players but they don't seem to have any feeling or soul to their music. My opinion only, not trying to flame em.

Someone mentioned The Cult. My favorite 80s band (cept for maybe U2)

All that said about great bands and players, I've been out seeing live music a lot lately, and I'll tell ya, there's a lot of great talent out there. Do yourself a favor and go support local live music where you live. You won't be sorry.

When I lived in Brooklyn I use to go to the Greenwich Village bars and man they had some great guitarist,,I would get hypnotized watching them. I'm firmly convinced that there are many great musicans that never get recognized.

Someone mentioned "Queen" - which I absolutely agree with.

But Brian May has not been mentioned explicitly - I do now.

Let it be is my favorite Beatles album. They tried so hard to get back to their rock and roll roots but Let It Be explained the whole thing. And Harrisons solo is great

    Actually it said, "yteicoS rewothctaW"

I'll bet no one here remembers a band by the name of Blood Rock.
