Maybe they try to get seven in a row to make it again the trumpets of Revelation? ;-)

Nina,
Again, you can Ratify those rESOULTUIONS by not walking out and quitting at the next meeting. And again, the newsprint that they are written on makes lousy TP.
For another view about the implications and usage of Ratification, see http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/8/72216/1.ashx
The distinction here is subtle.
A converse or contra-action of Ratification would be a Repudiation. Religiously, this could be to Recant.

I found this on another site:
Therefore as Jehovah's Witnesses assembled at this "Give God Glory"
Convention we resolve to do the following:
1. We resolve to glorify God by continuing to manifest the fruitages
of his holy spirit. We will keep on asking Jehovah for his spirit.
Moreover, we will cooperate with him as he gives direction through his
word and his organization.
2. We resolve to offer the fruit of lips which make public declaration
for his name. We're determined to speak about Jehovah on every
suitable occasion. Like the first century Christians, we will continue
to speak Gods word with boldness because Jehovah deserves praise of
the highest quality, we will continue to study to improve our ability
to present the good news of the Kingdom.
3. We resolve to keep proclaiming the truths found in God's word that
expose practices and teachings that detract from God's glory. These
include abortion, image worship, evolution and such false doctrines as
the Trinity, the Immortality of the soul and eternal torment of a
fiery hell. Even though we will defend our hope with a mild temper and
deep respect, we will not hold back from proclaiming the powerful
unadulterated word of God.
4. We resolve to bring up our children in the discipline and mental
regulating of Jehovah. We love our children. We view them as precious
inheritance from Jehovah. Were keenly aware of parents responsibility
before God that teach their children his way of life.
5. We resolve to praise God by means of our conduct, whether were
eating or drinking or doing anything else. We will do all things for
God's Glory. We understand that this Bible principle applies at all
times, under all circumstances. Thus were determined not to compromise
our morals, to misuse alcohol or in any other way that brings reproach
upon his great name.
6. We resolve never to attribute to mere creatures what belongs to
God. Jesus focused on glorifying his father Jehovah. Were determined
to copy Jesus example
7. We resolve to maintain our Christian neutrality, to avoid
entanglements in the worlds controversies. We refuse to allow anyone
to pressurize us into giving to Caesar what belongs to God alone. We
will obey God as ruler rather than men, even though this means being
hated without cause as was true in the case of Jesus.
8. We resolve to give God Glory by striving to read and live up to his
word each day. Daily Bible reading enables us to recognize clearly the
voice of our God. We will reject all propaganda and false reasoning
which falls short of the pattern of healthful words that Jehovah has
revealed through his written word, the bible.
9. We resolve to glorify God with one mouth by remaining in union with
God, his Son and with our Christian brotherhood worldwide. We will
cooperate with one another, and accomplishing our God assigned work of
preaching the Kingdom Good News.
10. We resolve to give God Glory by putting spiritual things first in
our life. We know that the world is passing away and so is it's
desires. We cannot slave for God and for riches. Jehovah alone is
worthy of our whole-souled devotion and we are determined to use our
valuable things, our energy and our time in putting Kingdom interests
first in our life. We rely on Jehovah to help us fulfill the 10-point
resolution. We have complete confidence in his promise as told in 1
Samuel 2:30 those "honoring me I shall honor". May He count us worthy
now and in the future to share in the blessings that come to all those
who give God Glory. Now all in attendance at this convention who favor
the adoption of this resolution, please say aye??? -

8. Read the bible daily and reject false reasoning.

The thing is that many JWs think that reading the daily text constitutes Bible reading when it is only a snippet read out of context with 3 paragraphs of WTS interpretation or reasoning layered over one verse.

I dont know who they think they are kidding. If they believe that people actually read the daily text daily then they are stupid.
I necer did and I didnt know of anyone else in the cong that actually did either.
