    Mouthy,

Here's a link that talks about his trial (for statutory rape of two girls) ---> he was acquitted, though. He was well-known for 'liking them young'. When I first read about it (I wasa kid), I was pretty disappointed, being young and all, I still had a concept that movie stars were heroes. I couldn't find any mention of him being bi from my google search; maybe you're thinking of Montgomery Clift? He was bi.

Ah, well. *shrug* Such is life. It happens all the time in Hollywood, just like everywhere else. It's just more disturbing I guess, when it is a familiar face, someone who often plays a hero.

I loved "Rebecca" as well. Can't remember who was in it, either. Love a good 'ghost' story! (looked it up - Lawrence Olivier and Joan Fontaine)

Two other big favs of mine,,, Madame X and I Want to Live.

    Larry,

People rarely know that movie, Imitation of Life. I saw it as a young girl and it haunted me, one of the saddest stories ....

Oh Thanks for telling me the actors in Rebecca! I was racking my brains to remember.

Yes now I do remember the case against Errol. But I did read once that He & Tyrone Power had a sexual relationship with other guys....

I dont always believe all I read> cos after all you> should hear some of the things the WT says about Grace Gough. ( little ol me) Yet it spread like a fire ) Yep They used their tongues....

But thanks my love I was glad you found WHO the actors were-I have been trying for ages. Also I cried so hard in Madame X - I think Lana Turner was a superb actress.

The only reason I pay for satelite tv is to have Turner Classic Movies. That station rawks! AMC shows classics, but edited versions and also commercials

Me, too, Granny. 'Believe nothing that you read, and only half of what you see.' They are so afraid of you that they had to make up lies and innuendo to cause fear of you in the JW community because you just might tell someone the real truth. I can only imagine the stories that were told about me and my evil ways in the KH. My fall from grace (no pun intended) caused quite the stir around here. Lots of shaking heads and wagging tongues.

Yes, Lana Turner, unfortunately, had her career ended due to scandal. Ironic, isn't it? The sex abuse trial made Flynn more popular, but the stabbing murder of Turner's abusive lover by her young daughter (and subsequent trial) caused the demise of Turner's career. It was too bad, as I agree, she was one of the premiere actors of her generation.

I can't believe I forgot "The Great White Hope" with the young James Earl Jones (voice of Darth Vader). What a fabulous movie. If anyone likes memoirs, his is awesome!
