Yes, still, none in Cornwall, but I do live in tornado alley USA. Actually, tornado USA my backyard. Fortunately, it did no damage to anyone. There were 3 sighted in this area. The flooding missed us as well, by about 20 yards. It has been exciting and no matter how much you prepare, your brain locks up. We have our important papers in the "safe" corner of our basement, a battery operated radio and flashlights and extra batteries along with a first aid kit. I'm glad it is over. That is 3 tornados in 50 plus years.
Thanks everyone for your concern.
XW, I remember that one in Barneveld, a class 5, there was no downtown after that one. I worked in a disaster organization and went out to take pictures. There was nothing to take pictures of or to orient yourself to what used to be there. It is all built up now but nothing can replace the lives that were lost.

The tornado headed towards a local Albertson's grocery store. The manager there herded all of the people into the stores' cooler - in the center of the store.
The tornado blew away all of the store. All that remained was the cooler... and the people, safely inside. The manager was a hero.
That was on TV, I remember that...........good thinking on his part!

And the tornado season has only just begun !! We've had a weird spring here in the upper Midwestern part of the USA, with the winds blowing hot and cold -- a perfect environment for big storms and tornadoes.
It's strange to me that you guys had absolutely no warning. In our community every TV station is competing to show the best doppler radar image so you can almost see the tornado before it happens (from the hooks in the wind patterns and such).
It's good to hear that you guys didn't get mowed over. I hope that's as close as you ever get to one.

Gopher, the stations here all have state of the art doppler but they were watching a larger cell 30 miles from here. The cell here was a pinprick on the screen. No siren, even after 5 people called it in. Barneved was flattened by a level 5 tornado and not a siren had gone off. I guess that means the basement for us even it is only a tornado watch.

I meant to tell you that in 1982 I was driving North to the town of Bradford where my parents had lived. As I was getting closer to their home, a sudden tornado came up and I could see it in front of me. I had no time to think or pull over as I was in the middle of it. Thank god it was not a huge tornado but never the less extremely terrifing to say the least.
And yes dear Blondie I thank God you are okay.
I know the southern portion of the USA are always having tornadoes and I always wonder when I see the aftermath and peoples homes flattened, why is it that these folks don't move away from the Torando Belt.
Just this afternoon there was a tornado a few towns south of us. We had no electricity for six hours today. And right now the sky is getting real dark and you can feel it in the atmosphere.
I hope its not in the middle of the night.
God bless to all
