Interesting Link Tres, thanks. I dont know why someone would name their kid Jehovah. But I did find only 35 people with my last name on that link.

Did anyone recall urban legends in their local congs about someone who changed his name to "Jehovah" and then mysteriously died? I certainly recall those stories.....

Leo in the Jewish culture you're not supposed to name your child after a living relative because supposedly it confuses the angel of death and one or the other will die. I know this sounds like an old wives tale, but when my Spencer was born my sister gave him 2 middle names. One was my father's first name and the other was my dearest uncle's first name. 1 week to the day after the birth certificate being signed my uncle passed away. Of course he was sick prior to his passing, but it certainly was an odd coincedence

There is actually one person with the surname Jehovah - "Keith Jehovah"

It seems that not a few JWs have a penchant for saddling their poor offspring with terrible -- usually Biblical -- names. As if not pledging allegiance and saluting the flag were not enough.

I found this rather amusing
JEHOVAH A QUEEN 12 Feb 1956 26 Jul 2002 (P) (72) (none specified) 294-68-5067 Ohio Oh, WTS would hate that!
My first name has only 186 entries. Interesting, though, I have only met 2 others with my name, and have heard of a couple more.

A better question might be, "why would anyone name their imaginery GOD Jehovah, when "Fred" might work better?" Or "Jack?" Does any rational person think it really matters WHAT the God of all creation cares to be called?

Well it does show that there are at least 25 Jehovahs that are now dead.
For all apparent purposes the other one is too.
I wonder if I can collect his social security death benefits. hmmmm
