What is your favourite car / motor? And why?

Who makes the best sports cars? (Obviously discounting the American models which just look like shite and drive like a pregnant sow). Japanese or European?

Heres £50,000 to buy a classic car, which model would you go for and why?

American cars, do you loathe them or love them? My answers obvious.

    Just interested.

Discount the American sports cars!! Dude!! If I had my 1973 Trans Am with a 455 and a 4spd, you'd be singing a different tune.....god I loved that car!

I doubt it Obiwan, sincerely I do, no offense, but completely crap, just my thoughts. But aye, glad you loved it. Still give me a Masserati anyday of the week.

Favorite engine? Mercedes-Benz V12 AMG version.......612 hp and like 734 lb.-ft. of torque delivered in a perfectly gentlemanlike manner. It just doesn't get any better. Don't know the BHP or Newton figures, sorry.

As for something I could feasibly afford some day, give me one of the new Dodge Magnums, with the 340 HP Hemi. Even you have to admit it's got balls in both style and performance.

I'll have a 2-door Mercedes coupe, thanks. Either that, or a Porsche Carrera. Softtop/hardtop. Old-styles are nice and really hot , but the new Mercedes is also saaah-weeet!

    VRROOOOOOOOOOMMMM!

As far as I know the only American sports car is a 'Vette, isn't it? The others just don't have the suspension, unless they've developed something new in recent years.

For muscle, I'll take the late 70's Plymouth/Dodge Roadrunner/Belvedere GTX 426 Hemi with a Hurst shifter. Mrrrrraaaow!

My old TR-7 was a nice little buggy, 6 cylinders in a tiny, bullet-shaped car would MOVE, but the bloody electricals sucked & the clutch plates were a bother, touchy, touchy!
