oroborus21 -thankyou for that input -- that makes total sense - all part of the control mentality and yes monitoring to ensure hours are more accurate that they were previously. Thanks again

I was the personal recipient of information from the wife of a MS who had done this. However, the only reason this individual felt compelled to do this was because of the unreachable demands that the WTS imposed on its members. I, myself, as an Elder's wife felt incredible pressure to meet the standard, despite the emotional/mental problems I was going thru.........it just makes me grateful all over to be out and away from the WTS.

Some may not know it, but when attendence drops and service hours drop, the elders are raked over the coals by the CO. In many cases, they are told that it is THEIR fault that meeting attendence is low because they're "not making the meetings interesting enough" and service is low because they're not out there bugging "inactive ones" and "weak ones" to go out in service. They tell them this crap in Elder School.
Having been the wife of an elder for over 16 years, I can say that this post is the absolute truth. The elders were always having the scriptures thrown at them about those being given more, more being expected of them". This was used as a whip to control and incite them.

"Are you still in Room 215? When are you going to move up to the 10th floor? "
Farkel, my brother, you lost me on this one! You're not quite used to Farkel's "ascerbic style" yet, bro. Ter

Thanks again for your input everyone!
Deleted, don't feel bad; I recall being "encouraged" to put in an "informal" hour on my report when I was slipping and had not any real time at all. I think it is common that elder's do this.
I didn't have the heart/guts to say, "No, NO, I have NOT talked about my religion, even informally, to ANYONE this past month, because I am ashamed and embarrassed of it for oh so many reasons."

Yes a very cute sister started to regular auxiliary pioneer (60 hours every month) she was NEVER seen at Filed Service arrangements - I was aasigned with service overseer -- we told her that aux pioneer was a great privilege and that she needed to be seen and supporting the groups.
This reminds me of the time(s) that I would go to the field service arrangements and then take off as soon as the closing prayer was done and go do whatever I wanted. If confronted I would tell the elder or ms that I had an "early morning bible study" so that was why I couldn't go door to door with the rest of the group bible study my ass I just went right back home and reported 2 hours every Saturday of every month!

> Instead of turning in the field service report by dropping it anonymously into a box, the reports are to be turned in directly to the publisher's Book Study Conductor.
Does this mean the forms are not used any longer? -

Yes, they still use the forms, GermanJW, they just give them directly to the Congregation Book Study
Conductor Overseer. -

GermanJW, your dad sounds like a great, smart guy. I'm glad he wasn't afraid to put his foot down.
Reading all of these posts is bringing up a little bit of anger with how the elders and COs treat the flock. There were several troubling experiences I went through that have helped me to realize the hypocrisy in this religion.
My whole family and I were deleted from pioneering based off of false reports. We were never confronted. Instead we were pulled into the back after a meeting and told we were deleted. And this was all because of one CO that wanted to see us go down. He did not like some relatives of ours.
I stayed in that hall for several more years and then encouraged from my elder father to go to another cong if I ever wanted to be made an MS cause he said that it wasn't going to happen there. He never did tell me who didn't want me to be an MS, but its just the same old crap over and over.
So, GermanJW, you said that hopefully the young pioneer brother had left. Well, if he opens his eyes after all of what has happened to him, he will. This is what was able to push me out. And I am so greatful for it.(The "Tell the Elders and CO to cram it up their ass" class)

Oh my god...this is the funiest damn post I have read in long time! Way to go Gary1914! My heart was never in counting the hours. I always under reported my time. The powers that were...knew this to be true and pleaded with me to report all of my time. I was up for appointment for MS at one point. At the time the cowboy PO ( I call him that because he was such an arrogant, snotty, and abusive bastard)wanted the brothers taking the lead to have an average of 16 hrs. a month and be "visable". I never would report more than 12 hours per month unless I was an auxillary pioneer at which point I would report 60 hours without fail regardless of the actual time spent. Once the cowboy PO told my wife I was "a proud man". Needless to say I was not "meek enough". Some years later I resigned the WT on my own terms as well. Counting time is very subjective and personal. Keep on faking those reports!
