I'm slowly acquiring my old metal albums (CD). Man, did I ever miss this stuff.

Very well.....but I'm about to chuck in Ritchie Blackmore's contribution "RAINBOW" in a few minutes.
I'm having a 'Cleveland Moment'.
Anyways....any metal favs out there?

Aztec honey.....many punksters of days/daze gone by will be more than happy to tell you; their musical influences....yes, those ugly long-haired metalheads. Oh, btw, I never had long hair. I have had a shaved head, mohawk and buzz cutt (most of you have seen this in-person).
D.O.A. a well-known Canadian punk band, still active, will tell you the same.
Most of what I started out on, was metal, before I really knew what 'punk' was. But I love punk rock...oh my goodness....if I could pull out ALL MY CDs/albums, you'd know what I meant.
Haul out some nasty "Dayglo Abortions"; "999"; "The Clash"; "Teenage Head"; and well the list could go on and on and on.....and right now....Deep Purple's "Ritchie Blackmore" is kickin' it in my headphones.
Like I said before: I'm having a *Cleveland Moment* (personal, but lovely).

Okay...I miss the DK's "California Uber..alles" and anything by Guttermouth. "My Girlfriend" cracks me up. I love the Dropkick Murphys! I have downloaded lots of songs...LOL! Ask Walter! I share your love of strange, beautiful music.

Does Detroit's WRIF 101.1 FM still exist?
I used to love that station when I'd be visiting the Detroit-Windsor area. WLLZ 98.7, I believe has bit the dust....long time ago.
Here in Toronto, I'm tuning into: Y108, Q107, Rock 94.9 and HTZ 97.7
These are rock stations; heavier on 97.7 (St. Catharines-Niagara Falls, ON.).
Y108/Rock 94.9 are pretty damn good up these parts.....listening to "Bad Company's" "If You Needed Somebody" - I can't help it.
I used to love Def Leppard, I've got most of their albums. I'm listening to the Guns n Roses Greatest hits album at the minute
My folks always went on at me about my musical tastes. First Metal single I ever bought was The Trooper (Iron Maiden) During one of my 'making an effort' stages I did a deal with my Mum - If I got rid of all my Heavy Metal cd's, she'd stop watching soaps on telly. Needless to say I regret it now in the extreme!!!!!!!!!! I wasn't even allowed to sell them - they had to be snapped and binned!
I love anything hard 'n' heavy, including:
Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Accept, Yngwie Malmsteen, Metallica, Guns n Roses, Helloween, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Heart, Kingdom Come, Magnum, Scorpions and loads more
Going to see a group play in Ripley, Derbyshire, in June - Nuclear Minogue. They play current pop songs to a Heavy / Thrash metal accompanyment. They are AWESOME!!!
Saw them last year awesome show!
I just got back from a 38 special and Leonard Skynard in concert together. Talk about a wild time. Security was busy carrying people out. I am glad I was in the balcony cause anyone on the main floor musta been deafen'd for hours. Cheers, Taz
