  Believe me, if your doctor didn't order tests when there is even a remote chance that you might have "fixable" trouble in your lungs, she would be gambling in today's sue-happy world. She's very likely just covering herself. All the health care people on the board know that medical workers have to practice defensive medicine.

  Think about how frustrating it would be if, after all those tests, you never felt any better at all, and could not tell if the symptoms would ever go away?

  Anyway, I hope you will feel much better soon. Take care of yourself!!

  Now, listen here... you need to do what your doctor says. I know it's easier said than done. Ray is totally right. Having these tests run will give you a clean bill of health, or let you know what you need to change to get a clean bill of health.

  Sounds as if you have a very good Doctor. Now, if you get rid of the Cigarettes and lose 40 pounds things will probably be rosey. Follow the Doctors instructions, get rid of those @#@#$%$ cigarettes.
