Thank you Gerard. So, Edward probably thought everything was going on fine until about NOW! Let's hope some justice is served this time around.

I am just sitting here shaking my head.

I was the PO in that congregation, and sat in on the original committee with Mr Davis. I know the family well. Amy Vigue was my daughters age........

This story keeps popping up. And the family is now suing Edward Davis, I can totally understand why. The reinstatement committee that replaced us, were all friends of Mr Davis, and reinstated the man in 6 months rather than letting him be out for at least 2 years.

And as always, when we called Head Quarters, we were told not to inform the Vigue family of their rights. I was floored with what I was told. I truly hope the Vigue family will also sue the borg, for trying to keep this another secret.

There are currently 2 other elders serving in nearby congregations that are former molesters. They are going down also .........The more exposure about this organzation, the better !!

Puternut, one thing I've learned in life is you do best, that's the only thing you can control, and everything else, you let go. Why? Because it's beyond your control. What happened was a terrible wrong, a hideous miscarriage of justice. But that's not about you, realize it says more about that organization than you.

What matters more than words are actions. You took action. You did good.

You know what? I can remember every detail of every person who was kind to me growing up. I can remember places, smells, even what they wore. A child of abuse knows the good from the bad. A child of abuse knows who is full of bullshit, and who isn't. Not becase we have special powers, but because we had to know. I've never met you, but I know you. Forgive yourself, it's a cross you don't have to bear.

    Puternut,

Are you offering the information you know to the attorneys? It might be helpful.

    Chris,

Your reply is full of meaning. I have had to read it a couple of times.

Forgive yourself, it's a cross you don't have to bear.

What do I have to forgive myself for? Not sure what area you are referring to.

I'm sorry. You sounded as if you felt guilty, even responsible for something. I'm saying you were, or were not, but only that you sounded that way. I apologize if I misinterpreted.

    I do better in person.

    Chris,

No need to apologize, I know you care. I have no guilt feelings over what I had to do in this scenario with the abuse case.

What pisses me off the most, is that in the end of this entire ordeal, I am left with no family.

    Hang in there.

May I ask why the restrained action against Davis? Why the eagerness to to reinstate him even after his confesion to the family? I know of teens who were DF for smoking tobaco and it does not even come close to the damage caused.

    Cheers,

    Gerard

    Gerard,

If I understand your question correctly; The reason I think the Vigue family went to court with this, is because after the orginal committee who df'd Edward Davis, was replaced by a new committee of friends of his, they reinstated the man in 6 months. (Newbie, overzealous, know it better, presumptous, wanna-be elders)

I spoke with some of the elders at that time, who wanted to reinstate him, and I was informed that the original committee was too severe in punishing Edward Davis. They even threw away the original notes from the committee, and replaced them with their 'newer' version of what they felt happened. The wording was changed of the original committee, and it was sent to the society.

There actually was one elder in that congregation, who took it upon himself to call several publishers in the congregation, to see if there was any reason why Edward Davis shouldn't be reinstated.........

Once this molester had his feet back in the congregation, the shit hit the fan with the Vigue family, and they went to the police. That next Tuesday at the bookstudy, he was by himself sitting right next to the teenagers in the group, flirting once again with the young sisters, who were my daughters age.

Later after I was df'd, Edward Davis ended up in jail. And he's out from what I understand. I think the real complications regarding this whole matter is that, the wife of Edward Davis, had an affair with the father of the molested child. So there has been an internal affair going on for some time, and the family wants revenge.

Edward Davis is now divorced from his wife, and is hooking up with the wife of the elder who called everyone in the hall to see if they couldn't reinstate him for some reason. She has three kids of her own............argh!!

    Talk about internal affairs.........
