Mohammed said, "I have been ordered to fight with the people till they say, "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and whoever says, " None has the right to be worshipped but Allah , his life and property will be saved by me." (otherwise it will not). Vol. 4:196

Actually the same principle is found in Revelation 13: If people accept the mark then they'll be saved ... because of being allowed to buy and sell goods (life's necessities). Refusing to accept the mark will cost them their lives, because they'll literally starve to death.

A past prick President of Malawi once said, "None has the right to be worshipped but me, and whoever agrees and thus buys the 25-cent card, his life and property will be saved by me (otherwise it will not)."

Of course that "past President of Malawi" was always a prick, but now he's a dead prick. Wasn't he the brightest of peoples? The PRICK!!!

    schism,

Actually, Mohammed came 500 years after Christ, so if anyone borrowed from anything, Mohammed borrowed from the Bible.

It's still all crap, though, as you have pointed out.

    Farkel,

As dangerous fundamentalism goes you have pointed out some blatant reality. Are we ready to accept that we, exjws, are not the most notorious victims of religious abuse? I hope so. Then, perhaps, we can move on from our own losses and grief and focus on the needs of those just as, even more, victimized by religious fundamentalism. Thanks for the post.

Actually, I don't think prick Mohammed or prick President Banda either one got their idea (that of annihilating any who would refuse to recognize their supremacy) from the Bible. And neither will the 8th king derive its comparable idea from the Bible. The thought behind this idea, which all three of these pricks have in common, seems to be that if UNITY of purpose can somehow be attained then peace and security will naturally follow. Thus, prick Mohammed must have believed that if he could get all who live to stand together as one (via them all recognizing prick Allah) then the world would be poised to enjoy peace and security. Prick Banda had a similar idea: If he could persuade all who lived inside his realm to unitedly support his regime then they all would surely be blessed with peace and security. (The attainment of peace and security is therefore thought to be a possibility only when EVERYONE is at unity and is willing to back up the one in authority.) Of course the upcoming biggest prick of all time, the 8th king, will try to achieve global peace and security by requiring all who live to recognize it as being the supreme authority. Of course all who do that will be committing idolatry because they will be placing the 8th king's authority above that of God's. Instead of saying "We want God to rule over us, and we look to him to provide us with peace and security," they will be saying "We prefer to look up to a genuine PRICK and it is IT that we place our hopes in." Actually, those who wind up doing this are genuine pricks themselves.

Why does "religion is a snare and a racket" come to mind?

If I was just a little bit older, then I could look back, now, and say with no small amount of personal pride:

"I once paraded that sandwich-sign on the streets."

One of the only "true" things the WTS has ever said.

Heh, heh. Nice title in your response.

Now, getting down to the real stuff:

    You said,

: thought behind this idea, which all three of these pricks have in common, seems to be that if UNITY of purpose can somehow be attained then peace and security will naturally follow.

Unity affects change, but enforced conformity more often affects change that is against the will of the people. I know. I sold Watchtowers.

All the "prick" (personal attack against me) stuff aside, the key word (and the wrong word) you used was "unity." That word is a red-herring and one often used by the WTS. The REAL and much different, but deceptively CLOSE word is "conformity."

If people cannot see this obvious difference between "unity" (self-actuated based upon free will) and "conformity" (outwardly imposed upon people, or else), I will be happy to explain it for them.

    Craig,

When I last lived in San Diego, I lived a mere few miles from Beth Sarim and made many pilgramages to that mansion. I hiked down in the canyon facing Fairmont St. and spend hours at the empty crypt built for Da Judge. I wondered where he was buried during those trips. Often, I would venture in the back yard of that place and see children's stuff like swings and well, just toys in the yard for kids. I saw the little tiny pond where my old friend Maximus was baptized. Beth Sarim is part of my history, for I was a dub, and I believed. Beth Sarim is a part of ALL of dub history for it was the place where the "ancient worthies and prophets" would reside when they were to be resurrected in 1925.

Oh, wait. That was EIGHTY years ago!

    Nevermind......

    Doug:

Maximus was "before my time," though you and others have told me a little bit about him.

Please give him my very best regards.
