Do any of you have cats that like to eat fruit? The reason I ask is that my Siamese LOVES fruit. She would rather eat fruit than anything. And she turns her nose up to meat! Her most favorite is strawberries, watermelon and pineapple but she will also eat oranges, grapes, plums and apples. Oh and she enjoys green beans and jalepeno peppers also. But she turns her nose up to tuna and steak. What a freaky little kitty! LOL. It is amazing though because our house is rather large and she can be way in the back of the upstairs and you could be sitting in the living room which is way in the front of the downstairs and she will sniff you out and coming running if you have fruit. So, it just got me curious as to other people's cats.

Yes, our cats will eat anything (greedy little buggers). The like some fruit - strawberries, apple, satsumas. They like salad and veggies - peas, green beas, baked beans, potato.

They also like bread, chips (french fries), crisps (chips), *curry*, they go *mad* for cheese. I'm not sure about giving them grapes or raisins (as their poisonous to dogs so I'm wary).

They will just take food off plates if we don't watch them.

My cat wouldn't eat fish, chicken, beef or most meats. BUT she loved venison and pork. I kid you not! Anything else, she would sniff it and leave. Fussy, fussy.

The kitty I had before her was a vegetable lover. She would beg for corn (her favorite food!) if I was eating it for dinner and forgot to put some in her food dish. She also loved asparagus - I used to eat it with mayo for a snack. If I gave her a piece, she would look at it, then back up at me, until I put a little bit of mayo on it and then she would go to town. heheh

Satsumas are little oranges. They'll eat a little bit if I take the skin off the segments.

Tal, yeah, mine is VERY vocal when she wants something. Tonight it was the watermelon.

Three of ours are quite vocal - the fourth (the "baby" though she's 4 - she's tiny and she's the curry-lover) doesn't even miaow, she just goes "peep!", so we call her Peeps as well as her actual name (Mabel). :)

Dave (weighs about 15lbs...) stomps around the house "shouting" - and throws himself at the fridge to ask for things!

Icky but connected to food-fan cats:

Does anyone have a problem with "bullimic" ex-stray cats? Two of ours are ex-stray, they don't eat "odd" foods anywhere near as much as the two we've had from kittens. They both throw up quite a lot - Minnie in particular will sometimes eat *all* the dry biscuits left out (left out for all of them to share) - it's like she's remembering about being a stray and hungry and eats all she can.

Minnie (*strange* poor pathetic shaky victim type cat - bullied by the others) threw up in mum's ironing yesterday... mum wasn't pleased!

Neither of them are ill with it, the vet didn't really say anything when we mentioned it.

Mine doesn't eat cheese. She likes raw pork, which i won't give her, but not cooked. She also likes olive oil and chocolate.
