Don't get me wrong, sometimes we have drunks and druggies in, abusing my staff nurses, and generally being arseholes........I really want to smack 'em in the head hard........lol, all the "angel" in me seems to want to disappear! Afew weeks ago a nutter pulled a knife on me. Its crazy.

But BTTT yes Fleur, for some unknown reason I do feel a special protectiveness for JWs too. I can't expalin that.

And thankyou for the heads up for nurses, its appreciated!!! Now can we get paid some more dosh? LOL

I'm only kidding ya!! Thanks. I think the nusre should always act as the patients advocate and protecter, I'm happy to say that the majority of nurses do just that. Now if I could only say the same for some doctors I know and bollock with on a regular occurence .....lol

Nurses, doctors, attorneys and concerned parents, as they see others taught by the Watchtower Society over Jehovah's Witnesses need to know why blood transfusions are biblically supported. after all as the Watchotwer does not teach these points: Acts 15:20 says abstain from blood but 1 Samuel 14:32-5 says Saul's army ate unBLED meat to not starve and no verses show God not forgiving them. Christ says God also forgave David's eating temple holy bread and that God wants Mercy Not Sacrifice. (Mt 12) The May 22, 1994 Awake tells of 26 Jehovah's Witness kids who died without transfusions, and by common sense in massive bleeding as in car wrecks blood expanders won't save lives http://www.ajwrb.org. About 3 Jehovah's Witnesses die daily earthwide from the unscriptural policy! (Blood On The Altar by David Reed) Yet most normal identical twins transfuse whole blood to each other through a shared placenta and childrens' whole blood is sometimes found in mothers years after birth-- the approved arrangement by God using nature. The book of Acts is about not using blood but in the sense of not using it anymore than strangled meat for temple sacrifices, not in regard to transfusions. Please share copies of this with others to help save more lives.

Scooby, your post was especially endearing to me. My mom has just got to get this open heart surgery, but so far she has canceled it twice since last year. She is very scared because she always has low blood counts and she is anemic. Except for my Aunt--her sister--she is quite alone as far as family where she is.She will be 80 the end of July, and needs to have a valve replaced and the triple by-pass. They have been continuing to give her these iron shots and she says she is trying to eat a better diet. Her surgery is now scheduled for the end of June.

I certainly hope there is someone there for her when she does get this done, who is as loving and compassionate as you were to the lady you met on your watch.(())
