Well a big hello to you Steve, hubby of Princess. With a first post like that we could have used you here earlier, like 3 or so years ago.

What are you doing with your Sundays? Not just Sundays, but the whole weekend. CJ and I have gotten big time into camping. All of our summer vacation time is occupied by it, and most weekends from the end of May to September, you'll see us hitching up the trailer, loading up the mountain bikes and heading to one of the many awsome campgrounds around here, none more than an hour away.

Great pictures as well. Reminds me of the last time CJ and I went out to visit my parents out in BC, and went to visit the Belobaba's on the island. We went clamming as well, and carried back a good bucket full. I recall waiting impatiently for 2 days, with the clams in a bucket of fresh water with a little oatmeal in it,waiting for the clams to rid themselves of the sand and grit, but what a serving of clam chowder we eventually enjoyed.

And your method of "crabbing" sure beats putting out the traps. Instant Gratification ! Man I miss the West Coast.

    Princess:

I don't want to be one of those wives who "accidently" post under their husband's name when they run out of posts.

Well it does run in the family...

Hey Steve! It was nice to meet both us and Princess in Dallas!

I need to get back into diving, I quit when I found out I was preggy with my daughter. Love it though, I intend to start back up either when Bubbles is old enough to dive with me or I get another partner.

Now days Sundays tend to be lazy...chatting with friends...sipping coffee...making pancakes...reading...shopping..going to the movies, park or pool. So nice to just kick back and enjoy life, eh?

Sundays I usually spend at the Antiques Malls and local flea markets, always in search of a treasure!

Hey Steve, you old lurker you! I'm jealous! My wife doesn't let me go do all those fun things on Sunday. Makes me go fishing for chinook in the lower Columbia, sunbathing in the back yard and an occasional tour of the sandy Pacific beaches near Seaside.. alas, such punishment, but then, I haven't had a dreadful Dubby Sunday for neigh on to forty five years, so kind of used to the idea of being and doing as I darn well please most any day or evening of the week..

Huggs to you and Princess and the kids.

Wow. I'm a bit overwhelmed. I just got back from work, and all these replies... I don't want to miss anyone, so here goes...

Craig and Kate thanks for the welcome! Rachel and I are looking forward to the upcoming ride, and dinner(s) afterward. You folks know you're welcome to stay at my Mom's place Saturday, right?

Patio A barbershop quartet? what a blast. I need to resurrect my music...

Puter Jeeeeez Puter, last week Gumby says I'm a shiny drunk, and now you've got me hitting a bong. Just like an elder and P.O. to go around spreading rumors... I do like the occasional herbally enhanced cookie, though. Ready to try some cold water diving? It's not the Bahamas, but we still have a great time.

Country Guy Were it not for my children, I would probably have missed Shrek and Shrek II, and my life would be the poorer for it.

Little Toe Yours is one of the most inspiring stories I've read on this forum. You displayed great courage and honesty in your exit, both to God and yourself. I admire that a great deal, and would love to dive, dine, or dance with you. Your pick. In Scotland.

FMZ Takes a while to descend from a cookie, doesn't it? Thanks for sharing a bit of Brit culture with us in Dallas. You and little toe raise our language to a pleasant listening experience.

Bull01lay Motorbiking in England? That sounds like a vacation to me... It's been a long time since I rocketed around Austin on my Kawasaki, with only a pair of shades to protect my poor head. But the wind whipping by, it put me in a moving trance, shattered only by the occasional giant Junebug on my forehead. Man, that's a feeling I'll never forget.

Pleasurdome and Pinned Blouse Rest and sleep are priceless and underrated. Unless you find yourselves in Dallas, with a small group itching for some ear splitting rock and roll in the Deep Ellum district. In that case, sleep when you're old.

Ozzie Don't really know what kept me, I just didn't feel the spirit til now. And right now, I'm in front of the computer, with Rachel glaring at me from the doorway...

Mulan Soooooo very sorry to have left you uncaptioned. Please let me take this opportunity to belatedly credit and thank the chef of our fabulous seafood dinner.

Dan-O Golf and puttering go hand in hand. I avoid golf, but only because I know how easily I would become obsessed with it.

Desi Making time with your mate is great. Here's wishing you many more happy sundays...

Mak and Sabine You and your family are always welcome in our home. And I do appreciate how blessed I am, first to have a partner in life who accompanied my exit without question or friction, and second to have so many from her family and mine out as well. I do sincerely grieve the loss of my friends who chose to remain with the J-ho's, but only for a few moments each day. Okay, I'm over it. Please pass the crab.

xjw_b12 Glad to hear you're making use of the great outdoors. When you mention the "Island", are you speaking of Vancouver Island? regardless, B.C. is an incredibly beautiful province. Tofino, on Vancouver Island's West coast, holds a special place in my heart. I really want to get the whole family back up there.

Calamityjane "Living well is the best revenge" Let's rub their noses in it.

Xena How could I have left Dallas without knowing you're a diver? It was great to be back in Texas, if only for a little while. Austin is next, and we'll need you as a guide, no doubt. Maybe a little door to door work would help draw converts to the apostate cause... Nah. Small parties are the best. I'm already missing Mexican food... CSG made us a feast, but I didn't bring any home. Darn.

Ohiocowboy Antiquing and flea marketing are enjoyable no doubt.

Thanks for sharing all your interests, I hope I haven't left anyone out. Everyone's time has been richly spent, but frankly, a week in front of the telly is still better than one hour in the (W)tower. Please continue doing exactly as you please...

In two weeks, the King men and I will be travelling to the foothills of the Cascade mountains, to fish for the fiercely predatious "Dolly Varden" trout. If I make it back alive, I'll post pics.

Carmel Glad to hear you're keeping a stiff upper lip. Punishment like that is hard to take, but builds character. And a nice tan. Great to hear from you, too, Todd.

Ha! You're on the board Steve, cool

Just wanted to say hi to ya. It was great to meet you in TX!

I enjoyed talking to you poolside hearing the story of you & the fam's exit.

Scuba diving, I love it! PADI certified baby.

We need an Apostafest in the Caymen Islands to do some diving!!!

My Sunday's, well, now they are spent sleeping in, then waiting for the wife to leave to go to the meeting.

When she leaves, I call up my fence sitting JW brother and we go out to breakfast together instead of him going to the meeting

Afternoons, the time to relax if I am by myself:

    Detailing the car,

reading the newspaper and the funnies ['Get Fuzzy' has stepped up to take the place of 'Bloom County']

    Play with the cats

    Watch a DVD

    Jog

    Practice Aikido rolls and stretches

Look at the clock and laugh thinking that "Right now I'd be in afternoon service..."

Nice seeing you on the board
