Couldn't be a religion, too many opposing viewpoints

Craig....JWD is by no means a religion, although for some of us maybe it has replaced religion in our lives.

We went to weekly meetings because we felt we belonged there, we went in field service and studied our publications to share both time and experience with people who we felt we belonged with as well.

When we were knee deep in WT teachings those people were our family and the kinship we felt being Jehovah's chosen people was wonderful.

When the wall of lies came crashing down who better to understand than people who were on those walls with us.

I know your at a different stage of exiting than myself. I see the change in your posts over the last few months, it's impossible to miss.

I just want you to know and always remember what a great comfort and support you have been to me and many others on this forum.

Craig I think about jumping in the car and driving down to see you all the time, I promise I will soon, I'm still working on a few loose ends of my own.

    See ya soon...Shotgun

The thing about half-way houses is that there are people who are in them.. and people who run them.

When the need is there JWD is there to help you through the tough spots.

When you get out the other side and you see the org for what it is MANY posters stay. They don't need the Borg and have left it behind but they can see the needs of the many who are still trying to come out of "Babylon the Great?. I give these "apostates" a lot of credit for the help they are providing and try to be like them whenever I can.

I see JWD as perhaps a half way house, or at least a support group. I have been here nearly 2 years, and now find i spend more time on other non religion related discussion boards. It has been a progress, one i am grateful to JWD and all the posters for. Reading all the life stories has been helpful. Currently i do not have any plans to leave, i may not post as much, but i still enjoy seeing new ones come in , asking the same questions i did, and watch them mellow out and find a "way". I haven't exactly found a "way" yet, but i am much calmer about my experience with jws than i was 2 yrs ago.Currently i think the area of spirituality I may head toward includes the rituals of the native americans. my husband has always cared about this issue, and a cousin is taking lessons from a tribal member(not sure what she calls herself).

this is somethingn my husband could join me in, and be happy. they have Pow Wow's several times a year in lots of loctions. I think i may have found a direction for my spiritual needs. BTW, if anyone has any experience about this, or any knowledge about this, please pm me.
