Jesus had to be white, he graduated from high school didn't he?

All that means is he wasn't a redneck and he probably didn't live in a trailer.

um ... wasn't he supposed to be JEWISH ?!

He should look middle-eastern, not black or white.

There have been numerous "ethnic migrations" Which change peoples looks in the regions they are in. King David was described as a redhead, whilst some of the Jews carrying the oldest traditions live in ethiopia, and are very dark, or "black". Theere are a shitload of light skinned green eyed people in Iran and Iraq, dark skinned ones too! The truth is WE DON"T KNOW AND IT DOES"NT MATTER!!!!!! Why do people wanna make Jesus black, white, or arabic looking? Maybe he looked like bozo the clown, So what!?!

Yes, though, he does look black in the pic, Which is great after EVERY stinking pic of him and the disciples looking aryan, and the pharisees always look "Jewish" which is funny because they were all close relatives.

Oy, you miss my point entirely. That point being, as a white person I am just as offended by a black person saying something to imply that since I'm white I don't have rhythm, or I don't have soul, or I don't know how to party or dance or make love or jump etc. etc. etc. as a black person would and should be were I to make a similar sterotyping racist comment about black people being loafers at work, or less intelligent, etc.

    Edited to add:

I never watch MTV, except when I'm flipping channels and happen to land on it. I landed there twice recently, both times happened to be when a hip-hop video by a black "artist" were on, and in both videos the only appearance by a white guy was to play the complete buffoon. I think the "Roses really smell like Poo-hoo-hoo" was one of the songs. Let's see a white group have a black guy appear in their music video to play the part of a completely stereotyped urban black. MTV wouldn't touch it. That's the double-standard that I perceive.

You remember those images of Jesus in the fifties and sixties? He looked like Julius bloody Caesar.

Nah, I got what you were saying, I just think it doesn't have any merit. For what it's worth, I wasn't making fun of a white stereotype when I made the joke. You really think that the ability to keep a party going is something that would make me proud to be "black"? I suggest you stop using MTV as a gauge for your sociological perspective.

    Yes you were, and yes.

As far as MTV goes, I'm pointing out a double standard that is all too familiar, not a sociological perspective.

    Yes you were, and yes.

The fact that you can't dance really hurts, doesn't it?
