I find your story amusing and you are kinda like the guys in Fight Club who go to the different help groups not because they need help but just for sh*t and giggles. Hey, and I guess the free food is a bonus.

    Good post.

Finally someone, an older man came to talk to me. Sucker had some bad breath too, but at least he came to talk to me so I shouldn't be so hard on him.

I would like to put money on it but it seems like that no matter where I go I end up talking to the old man with toilet breath.

Anyway thats why I believe all religions are same s***, different pile.

I was brought up as a SDA and let me tell you, it sucked. We could not watch Sat. morning cartoons because of the sabbath, we could not eat meat, wear jewelry, no caffiene, no stimulants of any kind, no fancy dress, no makeup, no physical labor on Saturdays, etc. We ate a lot of soy products. Come to think of it, that time was one ofthe healthiest periods of my life. My skin was blemish free and I looked rested. Hey I might even go ba...... Nah!!! I can't give up my cartoons.

A few weeks ago I went to three evening lectures sponsored by the SDA. It was billed as a "seminar" but programed so that the audience had no opportunity to ask questions or have any invovlement. Now, I don't know about you, but every other seminar I've attended involved audience participation. I was three nights of literalism, all orchestrated to maximize anxiety and fear, without the tent! I wrote a letter to the presenter but never got a response.. I don't think they want their doctrins questioned in public..

Heh, heh! Some things never change; SDA "potlucks" are one such thing.

You should try the Church of Christ, they're like the witnesses too. I paid them a visit and it was so wierd to recieve the same treatment that i had given to visitors to the KH. They sat beside me, shared their bible, and afterward engaged me in a instructive conversation. They had bibles of palmpilots and I was kindof impressed by that. But it was eerie how Witness-like they were.

Im the local 7th day psycho here no seriously I am an SDA. Ive just had a good laugh about all youre comments.

Boy if you want to stir them up you should go back sometime and discuss with them the different beleif systems within Adventism such as Brinsmeadism or Fordism or tell them you know of an SDA who is a Fordite [Thats me] that would really get some of them excited but of course that would take quite a bit of research by you.

50% of SDAs are vegetarian, some are Arian [like the witnesses] but most are trinitarian.

My wife is Catholic but we go to both churches. Barry

The SDAs you met sound conservative so if you told them about me they may go right off. Barry
